FACT CHECK: EVEN BISHOP FINN'S WORST CRITICS DON'T THINK POPE WILL CRACKDOWN ON THE KANSAS CITY CLERIC!!!

There has been renewed interest in Catholic heirarchy sex abuse claims because of recent statements by the Pope.

However . . .

KANSAS CITY CATHOLIC INSIDERS SAY BISHOP FINN ISN'T FACING VATICAN REVIEW DESPITE MAINSTREAM MEDIA HYPE!!!

National Catholic Reporter offers CATHOLIC INSIDER chatter and speculation: Who are the three bishops under Vatican review for sex abuse?

Money line:

"So far, there is little indication Finn -- who remains in office -- is facing Vatican review."

Remember that KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS told us the Pope pretty much gave Bishop Finn absolution on the topic of Kansas City Catholic sex abuse controversy.

If there is a more egregious betrayal of trust in recent history, it escapes me at the moment. Predator, pedophile priests, raping children while in the service of God. Then, the obscenity of Holy Mother Church hiding the crimes and enabling the perps to prowl new hunting grounds in search of potential catamites.

Growing up in the Catholic Church in the 50′s and 60′s, I knew God’s rules, they were stringent, draconian and unrelenting. The stated penalties for straying from the path, were described in detail by the nuns in school and the priests on Sunday at the pulpit. The encyclopedia of sins, thoughts, words and deeds, yes deeds were a burden you were tasked to avoid your whole life, and, if you died a lucky death with time for a final confession, your passport through the Gates Of Heaven was assured.

In 7th Grade, I knew there was no hope. Even with the Sacrament of Confession I would need a killer lawyer and some serious juice to get the last bus to purgatory.

These sins of the clergy, as I used to understand it, are forgivable according to church doctrine. Of course, church doctrine changes frequently. Meat on Fridays, the Latin Mass etc etc. The next time guys in pointy hats get together to adjust the rules, maybe the sins of the fathers should be considered. If nothing else, what would the pennance be for such atrocities, such betrayals?

Me, I don’t think a couple of Rosaries and the Stations of the Cross are gonna get it.

Mean Jean should have never let him walk. She should have gone for jail time but she was afraid of pissing off the old Catholic MAFIA in this town: O'Neill, Lillis, Tarwater, Regan, et. al. Forget the kids, think about the old bead rubbers and candle lighters.

That pic always cracks me up. All Bobby F is doing here is going to the bathroom, right?

They brought this on themselves by not allowing priest marriage at Vatican 2.

All that happened was the Church became a hiding place for pedos and homos and anti-social weirdos in general.

Most protestant pastors are more salesman than minister but c'mon people we can find a nice middle ground here.

Remember, there is no such thing as a bad boy. There are some that are so so but they are not bad.

If it becomes OK for priests to marry, then the church will have to accept same-sex marriages, won't they?

I'm a Christian, but I truly believe the Roman Catholic Church is a criminal organization run by homosexual pedophiles and those who sympathize with them.

Why isn't Finn facing Vatican review?

Chuck: Christians DO have a killer lawyer. Jesus.

Why isn't Finn facing Vatican review?

Hmmm. Maybe because they don't give a shit what the priests are doing as long as the money rolls in?
