Alonzo Washington Vs. Jeanene Kiesling Over Racist Twitter Content Concerns

Kansas City anti-crime activist Alonzo Washington is calling out KCTV5 reporter Jeanene Kielsing over content crossposted her to Twitter feed.

The content includes the N-word and looks to be posted by her followers.

Here's what Mr. Washington writes about the corporate social media faux pas . . .

- "KCTV-5 reporter Jeanene Kiesling posted some tweets with the N-word in it. A copy of someone's tweets."

- "It's really no explanation of why this high profile mainstream KCTV-5 reporter Jeanene Kiesling has the N-word posted on her twitter 3 time!"

- "I'm uncomfortable with a white reporter covering the urban core having the N-word on her Twitter 3 times. Jeanene Kiesling should delete it"

This one is important because Mr. Washington is working to keep the media accountable but here @ TKC we actually fall on the opposite side of this debate.

Unfortunately, some racists use the N-word on this blog and we don't delete it because TKC IS THE LAST FREE SPEECH ZONE in Kansas City. In the end we find that intelligent statements win out and n-word idiocy actually isn't as interesting as well-thought out and strong opinion that uses logic and reasoning and good dirty jokes are always appreciated too. A free marketplace of ideas is not only protected by the Constitution but also the foundation of a strong community discourse. As of now I haven't deleted anything in a month and when I did it was spam written in French.

What gets kind of frustrating is that sometimes people associate that stupid language with TKC opinion. While this blog has flirted with with Libertarianism. Basically, we're more skeptical and cynical than anything else. To try to attach any ideology to TKC would be a waste of time . . . But I digress . . .

In his writing Mr. Washington makes strong arguments about corporate media responsibility and his ideas are always worthy of consideration.
