TODAY KANSAS CITY POLICE WARNED OF SEEMINGLY RANDOM SHOOTINGS THAT MIGHT BE THE WORK OF A SNIPER!!!

KCTV5: Authorities are investigating more than a dozen shooting incidents on metro roads and highways in the Kansas City area over the last few weeks.
Fox4: Ten of the 13 shootings happened in Kansas City, Mo; seven of these happened in the evening hours in the Grandview Triangle area. The other three happened in Blue Springs, Lee’s Summit and Leawood, according to police. In three of the shootings, someone was hit by the gun blast.
KMBC: 13 vehicles have been hit by gunfire in the past month in the Kansas City metro and several police agencies are investigating whether they're connected.
And this is important for a lot of reasons but mostly because CCW bravado won't stand up to a sniper picking off random people . . . Also, this shooting spree also hits the burbs and reminds us that the increasing violence connects the Kansas City metro area after all.

ReplyDeleteYes, but is this person a sicko shooter with very little sniper skills ? How accurate have the shots been. If the one person was shot in the leg, was the bullet recovered ? Run ballistics on the bullet. If it is a Sierra MatchKing or a Hornady A-Max you may have a serious shooter on your hands. From the sounds of this though it sounds like a sicko with a hunting rifle. Oh yes, I agree regardless of what this yahoo is using or his skill level, they are still a jerk and hope they get caught.

ReplyDeleteAs for my information about the bullet types in my post at 3:17, this was done to help the police. There are a lot of factors involved in precision shooting including ammunition, reading wind, mirage, etc. This case to me sounds like a sicko with a hunting rifle, regardless they need to be caught.
