Just heard that while Kansas Citians are struggling through one of the worst snow storms in years the Public Works Director, Sherri McIntyre, is in SPAIN!!! Why? Looking at the toy trains as part of the James' street car fantasy.
As many as 6 city officials are on this tax payer junket. No street cars to look at in the United States?? How about New Orleans or San Francisco to mention just a few world renowned street car systems??
So who is in charge on snow removal in the Public Works Department? Maybe Sherri is texting in instructions to her drivers.
And a city councilman is the trip it is believed. Could that be Russ Johnson?
After the Mayor's poor performance (tantrum!) in Brookside Wednesday, his baby is going down in flames.

ReplyDeleteYou would think that the residents of KC would get disgusted and angry of being treated with contempt and suckers and saps by the people they elect, but they never do.
ReplyDeleteInstead they just throw up their hands and elect the same kinds of people, or even the same people, over and over again, and each new group buys into yet another grandiose plan sold by insiders who make a ton of money from the taxpayers and leave what's left, like the P&L District, for the public to put upwith and pay for for decades.
The streetcar fiasco is just the latest example, although it reaches new heights of dishonesty, scouring the budget for money, uselessness, and the sheer size and duration of the expense.
Maybe such a massive scam will rouse the voters from their usual lack of interest. After all, Sly got elected with just 21% of registered voters.
But there's always Glorioso, Gray, Rowe, and O'Neill to keep the sheep in line.

I know that when we bought our new BMW, we arranged to take delivery in Germany, and did the whole Autobahn experience!
