Court issues order to garnish Emanuel Cleaver's congressional wages in car wash case
Now . . . This blog community has been talking about as much for months.
However, the reality is that garnishment and bad debt give Congressman Cleaver a lot more in common with his constituents than politicos with good credit or even the SuperRich who fly their own planes.

This is beyond pathetic and embarrassing. If he had a shred of honor or dignity he would resign immediately. Look, I know every member of Congress is a piece of shit and needs to be voted out but he really should resign. You can't be in what is supposed to be a leadership role as a member of Congress (insert joke) and have your wages garnished, which by the way, is really taxpayer money going to pay his debts. What a loser. If you are a member of his church on Paseo and don't give him an earful I don't know what's wrong with you. What a disgrace. Even for Congress this is low.

ReplyDeleteDid someone at Bank of American seriously think it made any economic sense to loan over $1,000,000 on a car wash in Grandview? I say the Rev. and his missus should be garnished down to a take-home of $40,000 a year and the idiot at BOA that approved the loan can pay the rest.
