TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KANSAS CITY INSIDERS CONSIDER CAR WASH BANKRUPTCY OPTION FOR CONGRESSMAN CLEAVER?!?!

Public opinion of Congress and politicos in general is at an all time low following the shutdown hot mess.

Worse still . . . Closer to home there's a Kansas City Congressman facing increasing scrutiny.

Recently, Kansas City Insiders considered the garnishment order against Congressman Cleaver by way of a judgement for Bank of America following a car wash settlement and it doesn't look good.

To wit . . .

KANSAS CITY INSIDERS NOTE THE CRUSHING DEBT FACING THE CONGRESSMAN THAT COULD SOON BE A CAMPAIGN ISSUE!!!

Check the message from BRILLIANT KANSAS CITY INSIDERS:

"How many Congressmen have their wages garnished? The interest is $309k and the late fees along are $93K. That's not to mention $70K in legal fees. Do the math TKC. That means the Congressman owes 8 times his salary in debt. There aren't a lot of options for him - Only two really: pay it or file bankruptcy to resolve it. But the debt isn't going away."

Strangely, that's pretty much the same situation the U.S. is facing right now . . . Only our Congressman doesn't have the option of printing more money.

Politically, this case hasn't really hurt the Congressman in his own district and if the GOP can't find anybody but the hapless but extremely likeable Jacob Turk to run . . . Expect that trend to continue.

Developing . . .

  1. Good that the tipster finally gave this a look. The case net file is good for some laughs and might provide a good lesson for politicians about bad debt.

  2. He'll be re-elected simply because he's black and claims to be a "minister." He has zero redeeming qualities, just like the rest of Congress. Like the rest of Congress, his gerrymandered district almost guarantees his re-election despite showing no ability to lead this country in a reponsible way and doing NOTHING to deserve being re-elected.

  3. The house is controlled by the repubs, dems don't get to do much except give speeches. Cleaver is good at speaking, ergo, he'll be re elected.
    Turk? Really? Hahahaha!

  4. Hate to join the peanut gallery but Cleaver could beat Turk even if he was up against a murder charge. That guy just doesn't have a chance.

    Sorry voters. You lose.

  5. 7:23, at least you see things clearly...when Cleaver wins, voters lose.

  6. Cleaver should be nudged into fulfilling his desire to "spend more time with family"!!!!

It's only going to get worse. Blame it on increasing negative social mood. Plus, he may have an undisclosed early onset mental decline (just listen to his interviews).

  7. That's a lot of money. For voters that means our rep is for sale.

  8. I voted for Jacob Turk! Don't know how Cleaver keeps getting elected and this really should seal his fate in oblivion.

  9. Riddle me this Batman:
Cleaver borrows $750k in an SBA loan in 2002 to buy car wash in Grandview.
Evidence suggests (tax records, deeds, etc.) the car wash was worth barely ONE HALF the amount of the loan.
SO...How was Cleaver able to borrow so much more money than the car wash was most likely worth?

Now our Congressman is over $1.2 million in debt. How will he pay this debt? Who will help him pay it?
Politicians who owe money and are in office and control the government purse are dangerous.

Reed, Cleaver and Miles are laying the foundation of evil for so many people. Karma is a bitch.

  11. Garnishment is limited to 25% of earnings in Missouri, 10% if one is head of household.

Very excellent question! But nary a journalist in KC wants to bite on this one. How many years has it been now?

Was it perhaps a sham deal from the beginning? A way to finance an initial Congressional run with "other people's money"? Search the public records my friend....follow the money trail.

  16. 11:33, I've been searching, and found some troubling things. The question is, where to go with them? The more troubling question is: will anyone really care?

  17. 8:59, both the Rev and the Mrs. have garnishments. Looks great for our city, huh?

  18. This fucking nigger is just like all the rest. We can't remove him from office because of all the fraud and fear of being called racist. Well, fuck you Cleaver! You're a deadbeat coon and you continue to enforce the stereotypes that niggers deal with everyday.

  19. I have to say that I agree with 7:06 on this one. This schmuck is the truest example of a horse's ass, but continually gets re-elected based on race, just like BHO did. They're elected to run the country when they can't even run their own checkbook. Ridiculous.

Gee! Would our intrepid KC blogger dare to take a look. Could be threatened with a lawsuit to shut him up!

  21. So this is the guy who wants to hurry up and fix the nation's fiscal mess?

    ReplyDelete
  22. So yeah, just "did the math," and that adds up to $472k which is 2.65 times the congressional salary ($178k).

  23. Sly, Cleaver BHO. And to think Clever actually SWORE someone spit on him on the Capitol steps that day. It was probably the jerk off that approved his SB loan from BOA. Assholes. All of them have these fucking streets named after them, I NEVER drive down those streets. You have Bruce R. Watkins and Cleaver Blvd intersections where nothing ever good could happen there. No way. Yep, prutty darn soon there will be James Blvd somewhere on the Plaza. Just you wait and see!

    ReplyDelete
  24. 12:27, check the total garnishment. It's over $1.2 million!

So maybe TODAY Cleaver owes seven times his salary. The way the interest is piling up, it will be eight times very soon.
