TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! FRIENDS OF KCI CLAIM VICTORY AND EXCEED THEIR PETITION GOAL TO PUT THE NEW SINGLE-TERMINAL AIRPORT HOT MESS TO A VOTE!!!
Accordingly . . .
AND NOW KANSAS CITY WAITS TO SEE IF MAYOR AND COUNCIL WILL TOSS THIS OFF THE BALLOT IN MUCH THE SAME WAY CLAY CHASTAIN'S CITIZEN INITIATIVE PETITION EFFORTS WERE CAST ASIDE!!!
Update . . . From The Friends Of KCI . . .
"To The CITIZENS WHO WANT RESPONSIBLE GOVERNMENT, Congratulations, we just heard from the City Clerk and CFRG / FRIENDS OF KCI, had several hundred more signatures than we needed for our petition to go to the City Council. This is great news and all of you who worked so diligently to get this done should feel good! We will await the next step but must all be vigilant to be sure the best interests of the Kansas City Voters remains the top priority for our Mayor and City Council. Thank you all for your support!!

Slanderella: "Group claims victory. I accept it as fact without checking with anybody."
So a confirmed fact, versus an unverified statement.
The moral of our story? There is always more, and it is always worse.

ReplyDeleteKansas City only has to look at the projects that took tax dollars,and the large amounts of money that was to come from them and didn't. Union Station,Power & Light,18th &Vine,Uptown TIF,three Hotels we pay nearly $3 million a year to,and money taken from the Fire Dept.

This means less money for the neighborhoods every year and it looks like it won't stop.
