THE TKC SATURDAY NIGHT PLAYLIST!!! CONFLICTED KANSAS CITY!!!

This week, more than anything it seems that in 2013 Kansas City has been mired with one conflict of interest after the next.

To wit . . .

LET'S LOOK AT THE CONFLICTS THAT DEFINE KANSAS CITY THIS WEEK AND OFFER A GLIMPSE AT THE FUTURE!!!

Check it:

Kansas City Remains Conflicted About The Toy Train Streetcar

More than any other topic, the absolute corruption of Democracy in service of the OVER-BUDGET toy train streetcar proves that Kansas City is on the wrong track. Library honcho Crosby Kemper III calls it "the single-most undemocratic election in Kansas City since the Pendergast era" and it just gets worse from there . . .

The newspaper would rather play nice than ask tough questions.

The most egregious example of the conflict of interest in building the Downtown Toy Train are questions surrounding Staubio taking a rather sweet marketing gig after campaigning and holding a place on the public board with ultimate responsibility on the streetcar.

Out in the Northland the stakes are even more lofty . . .

High-Flying KCI Single-Airport Scheme Has Operatives Playing Both Sides

With a great amount of detail the Show-Me Institute guys called out a Platte County lady for double-edged fun on the eco-devo aspect of the new airport proposal.

And finally . . . Even our justice system faces allegations of conflict . . .

Jackson County Prosecutor Mean Jean Peters Baker Must Decide If She's A Politico Or A Public Servant

This week . . . Totally unreported by mainstream media but put on blast by the very finest Kansas City Insiders . . . MEAN JEAN FACES SANCTIONS FOR STATEMENTS THAT MIGHT NOT MATCH UP!!!

Crime in Kansas City has grown worse while this local power player is working on a years-old women's rights case in rural Missouri and then partaking in all things related to Democratic campaigning rather than focusing all of her attention on Kansas City's deadly 2013 4th quarter crime spree.

And these are just the top examples of people holding the public trust who are confronted with important ofquestions about alleged two-faced tactics . . . Sadly, there are so many more instances of this kind of Kansas City double dealing despite political leadership that smiles in public but plays "win at all costs" hardball behind the scenes.

And all of these conflicts have inspired tonight's playlist:

As always, thank you for reading this week and have a safe and fun Saturday night.

  3. Re streetcar ethics. Don't forget about the Port Authority guy that quit the Authority after Bob Berkebile's outfit got a multi-million dollar contract for streetcar consulting. I love the fact that Berkebile said they knew nothing about trolleys but would learn (AT TAXPAYERS EXPENSE).

  5. What passes for government in KCMO is little more than an ATM machine full of taxpayer money with an endless parade of favor-seekers trying to guess the PIN number.
Just keeping that in mind enables you to predict just about every event, especially those that involve money.
The bar's open, boys and girls !

  6. Therefore, get thee hence, you miserable, failed, weak, African American wretches to your death, the taste of which, God of his mercy, may give you patience to endure.

That endurance, a failed pretence of intrepid endurance, which is infact, after one half a century, a disgrace, a cliche, a bill that came due so many years ago, yet ignored by the cowards, who, by way of physical violence you have cowed and bent to your will, by that same violence, is, a named, a named, a named cancer that extinguishes the light, the hope, the dreams of a once great country.

Get thee hence now, you miserable cunts, to the mailbox.

  7. Eric Holder as the Attorney General of the United States, is the most corrupt, malevelant and dangerous public official in the history of the US.

The incessant and seemingly never ending scandals that are part and parcel of this disgraceful administration, will, it seems, never end.

The standards, that the 4th estate holds previous Democratic and Republican admiistrations are now and have been ignored, in a Chis Matthews like tingle that has destroyed any credibility with any thingin American.

The Nationalization and take over of 1/6th of the economy, by Liberal government employees, is a disaster, that will not end anytime soon.

    Welcome to Detroit= America

    1. Hey idiot, I'm standing up for the dude because he had nerve to address you fools by name and leave his email address. In case you have reading comprehensions problems, here's a cut n paste of the comment he left.

"My wife is off limits. You're free to express anything regarding issues of taste you like, some people like Tom Waits, some Pavarotti, some don't like music at all. Sure, you're free to provide your uneducated critique, that wont stop her from performing in the venues she does today in front of extremely large crowds who disagree with each of you cowards who sit in your dark hole and throw out base insults to people you don't even know.

Whats not OK is, in my case, stating I'm a "known bisexual in Southwest Mo", that crosses the line into slander, libel, defamation, especially when one has high profile clients that could affect.

Whats not OK is when it resorts to vile filth and threats of sexual violence. Tony took down earlier comments in a legal agreement. From what I'm told, he's come to this story three times to delete comments about him, so he's aware of whats going on a 4th time; that's where the liability comes in. But that will be decided outside of basement dwelling trolls, now wont it."

He clearly said critique all you want, sexually violent threats are not cool. Please don't tell me you're really that stupid.

  16. He is very spoiled from his days at Sprint. He was genuinely shocked that we didn't just make over her like she had the most precious performance ever.

He got mad first when someone said she was horrible.

  17. what did Crosby have to say about the TDD "election" for the Plaza, for Oak Park Mall, for Village West, for etc., etc., etc.

For someone who has made their living off corporate and banking industry leaching and the anti-democratic antics of the SMI (like buying elections, phony pay-for-play ballot schemes to let outstate voters dictate tax policy to KC and StL, etc.) is pretty..."rich" of him to criticaze anything.

How about running another anti-etax campaign from the very PUBLIC library that is funded by it, Cros. Or you could button up your blazer and you and Muffy could sail down to Antigua for douchetopia 2014.
