Not likely. After all you're commenting on TKC! Real rich, classist people have better things to do and they certainly don't use email, internet or blogs. You are a fake! Very judgemental but most of all FAKE!

  21. The Question 1 crowd never sealed the deal with urban liberals, who form the base of any ballot proposal to raise taxes.

By choosing the sales tax to fund their private proposal, the Civic Council alienated the proposal from those urban liberals.

Urban liberals understand the basic injustice at the core of any sales tax proposal.

There is no good reason to use the (regressive) sales tax to fund private gain.

When you add that well-reasoned liberal opposition to the slobbering morons who vote no on every tax, it adds up to a LANDSLIDE win for the NO campaign.

Tony is not even reporting the 85 percent NO from Eastern Jackson County -- they have a separate board of elections Amego!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL JACKSON COUNTY RESIDENTS WHO VOTED AGAINST QUESTION 1....TODAY YOU DEFEATED THE CORPORATE/POLITICAL ELITE WHO WERE ATTEMPTING TO CONFISCATE MORE OF YOUR MONEY.

I SALUTE YOU AND SINCERELY HOPE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY SURVIVE THE ONGOING RECESSIONARY TIMES WITHOUT UNDUE BURDENS BEING PLACED UPON YOUR SHOULDERS. MAY GOD BLESS YOU.

Special thanks to Tony Botello and this website for daring to venture where few metro-area newsies dare to tread!

  27. The amount of money to put this on the ballot was crazy. I mean did they hope low turnout would pass it? They should be voted out next election for wasting or money and insulting our intelligence.

  28. Skippy and all the career county poltiicians are getting their asses handed to them tonight.

I am amazed some suggest Nutter was behind this tax.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Nutter's wigged-creature named Sanders met the villagers with the torches and pitch forks tonight.

As Jeff Roe pointed out a few weeks ago, Sanders has no organization.

Sanders has never faced a contested election until tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  30. 11/5/13, 9:29 PM

Nutter was behind it. Nutter wanted to bequest Children's Mercy a huge some of money, by creating a tax for them. He then told his slaves at the county to put it on the ballot. Garza and Williams held out for a job for their friend.

  31. Fix the god-damned horrendous streets first and then the shameful schools. Then, and only then, will I vote for higher taxes. What a bunch of asshat Republicans wanting this stupid tax in the first place.

  35. Nutter's wigged-creature Mike Sanders is done in this county. We remember the property tax debacle; we will really remember this effort to pillage and loot the population to make the rich richer. Chickens coming home to roost, right in that wig.

Oh well, I got my money.

  37. Jeff Roe ran this campaign! He should be run out of town, or at least to Leawood where all the tax supporters came from!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Jeff was hampered by Glorioso, Sanders, Williford and O'Neill.

  39. Missy Roe best get her ass street side. Sure if she puckered those lips right she could give a mean blowjob. She going to be the bread winner for a while since this loss will not make Jeff so bankable.

    Mr. Tony,
We are not done with this hot mess just yet.
    No sir.
Mr. Sanders will be looking for someone to lay the blame on. He will start motor mouthing about how this wasn't his baby. Mr. Skippy Sanders freaks out easily.

Monsieurs Roe, Glorioso and O'Neill have already shook hands and called it a day. They get paid win or lose. They will put the still born at Sanders' feet.

The bad deal brokered with the Ladies of 12th Street will be a constant reminder of this electoral screwing.

Jackson County Executive seat is now in play.

I like the idea of Jim Fitzpatrick making a virgin run for the seat.

And once again Mr. Tony, you have helped to turned the tide. Well done Mi hijo, well done!

  42. I agree with 9:17, this was the wrong way to fund research, with a regressive tax. While funding research may be a very admirable goal, it should not be on the backs of poor people. This is especially true, since the bulk of the tax is going to private companies with grant writers. It's a shame the county spent $800,000 of taxpayer money for this one issue election. Someone made a major strategic error thinking he or she could fool the voters into staying home.

    ReplyDelete
  43. 9:36, do you consider Nutter, Skippy, Westbrook, Williams, Ruiz etc. to be Republicans? Look again!

  44. Nutter and the Hall family. Tea Party Republicans. Yes.

  45. Skippy and Ruiz are. The others no.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Nutter is rich and eventually he thinks like a rich man. That means he would support a tax to coerce us to make rich hospital executives even more rich.
