Kansas City LGBT leader, activist and organizer Wick Thomas was recently received an award from Kansas City's Civil Rights/Fair Housing Summit . . .

The honor . . .

Keith Spare Youth Leadership Award - "For your dynamic leadership of the next generation of Civil Rights soldiers."

Congrats to one of Kansas City's best and brightest young leaders who obviously stays winning this Saturday.

    Wow the comments on here are awful. People saying queers are losers and a bunch of other derogatory things. Why don't you grow up and realize that the work this person is doing is amazing and they deserve this. You need to get your head out of the gutter and see that this is progress and much needed progress. I look up to this person for getting out there and doing their best to bring change to this world that these rude comments are undermining. Thank you Wick for being an amazing advocate for those who have no voices, for those who cannot speak out because they are too often pushed down, for putting everything you have into helping those who cannot always help themselves. If there is anyone who deserves an award for how much they put into things, it is you.

I am straight and Wick is the the most hard working, nice, generous, caring, smart, and understanding people I know. And he's funny and fun to be around. I love my Wick!
