TKC NOTE: The United States imprisons more people than any other nation on the planet . . . By far. Tonight, Kansas City impresario Craig Glazer offers his solutions to this tragic situation.
American Justice: Fixing the US Prison System
‘I hear the train a comin'
It's rollin' 'round the bend,
And I ain't seen the sunshine,
Since, I don't know when,
I'm stuck in Folsom Prison,
And time keeps draggin' on,’ ‘Folsom Prison Blues’ – Johnny Cash
What’s that old saying? Dostoyevsky said you can judge a society by how well it treats its prisoners. Let me start out by saying there are a large number of criminals who are dangerous, violent and unfixable and they need to be incarcerated. Those groups would generally be violent criminals like murderers, rapists and serial killers, just to name a few. In short, people who do physical harm to others but not in self-defense. Yes, I suppose you can also add in high profile scoundrels like Bernie Madoff who swindled thousands out of deep-seated greed. Understand, this group makes up far less than half of the total number of people currently serving prison sentences in this country. According to the Bureau of Prisons, there are over two-million US residents in Federal and State Prisons today. That doesn’t include the nearly one-hundred thousand people in privately owned prisons, or the people in city and county jails across the country. A more shocking number is this one: one out of every one hundred and forty two US residents are currently in prison. Four million Americans are on probation or parole.
I don’t want to just give you a truckload of statistics, however, the ones stated above paint a rather ugly picture. I am of the school of thought that America can do better. After all, we are the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the history of the world.
I wrote a piece just over a week ago about moving towards the legalization, or at least the complete decriminalization of drugs. I spoke of replacement drugs that are safer but can give people the same temporary thrill or ‘high’ to escape the daily grind of life. This is something human beings have sought and done since man came to be. Simply put, it has been the norm for humans to, at some point, let off steam with a cocktail, toke, sniff or maybe just a pill. Our nation’s incredibly strict and outdated puritanical laws have led these so-called criminals to be nearly 70 percent of our prison population today.
Since these laws will not change in the short term; though they should, we can certainly address making the punishment fit the crime.
First off, the drug sentences as well as some other non-violent crime sentences are way over the top. We have sentencing guidelines for judges that give them little wiggle room to be fairer especially towards first time offenders. We were told these federal and state guidelines had been liberalized so judges could have some leeway for more compassionate sentencing, however, the courts are still following the old guidelines from the cases that I have seen lately and these old guidelines are pretty harsh. We have also eliminated the parole board so that people are doing eighty-five percent of the original sentences without review. I find this incredibly unfair, archaic and a waste of our tax dollars to warehouse several thousand men and women who could move on to a more productive life. The time has come for the President of the United States to step forward and execute a new program. A board or panel of experts from law enforcement, those who have been in the system, left it and have been successful in life as well as victims of crime can get together and come up with more fair sentencing guidelines specifically aimed at minimizing lower-level drug convictions, lower-level non-violent offenders as well as first-timers.
Phase 2; and this makes total sense to me, why not take several of the state and federal prisons and turn them into more educational facilities for the more than fifty percent of the young prison populace that lack either high-school diplomas or college degrees. The ‘carrot’ here is two-fold. One, by getting your high-school diploma you would get time off of your sentence, more importantly getting your four year college degree would get you out immediately following graduation followed by job placement with the assistance of the government. It’s true that there are classes available in prison today as well as opportunities to go online to earn your GED or a two-year college degree. The classes are generally sub-par at best to laughable at worst and most of the on-line tests for a two year degree or even more ridiculous as the answers to the test questions are for sale all over most prisons. I should know, I went to these classes and was one of the few who got a degree from Barstow Community College while incarcerated in Lompoc FCI. Getting these diplomas did not help reduce your sentence in and of themselves. Again, the levels of education taught were sub-par at best. This educational program while in custody would not take that long to execute and staff.
The other program that needs to be instituted; taking the more violent young inmates into a more in-depth rehabilitation. It should be a combination of a military-style training and general education. Let’s turn these criminal athletes into top-notch educated soldiers. Upon early release, they would have to serve in a special branch of the United States military. They would be first up for combat duty.
As you can see, these are some broad-based solutions to an escalating prison population which just last year increased by five percent which is the largest increase since 1997.
If America can salvage just ten percent of these young law-breakers and help make them truly productive citizens, I would call that a victory and something to build on for the future. We have the power and the means to make this happen right now. We just need to find the compassion to do what’s right.

It's important to think about all the money changing hands when it comes to the prison system as well.
ReplyDeleteYou have not wrote a damn thing. Hope you pay the writer of this stuff very well.
ReplyDeleteMore useless schmegma from Glazer. Bear in mind he does serve a purpose. A constant reminder of the importance of contraception, including Plan B and the necessity of abortion.
ReplyDeleteNow a song
Lemme tell a story bout a man named Craig
Stan wishes that he never fertilized that egg
And now he struts with a really bad toupee
Thinks he's a stud when we know he's really gay.
Hater's you know. We're not cool like him.
Next thing you know Glazer starts to tweet
Everybody says hey we don't geeve a sheet!
Wake us up Craig when your movie gets made
Or the next time you feel the need to say that you've been laid.
Muffin top or 12 year old.
thats what we need..more educated criminals out on the street..build more prisons, farms and tent camps. Thats whats wrong with society now...they are to dam soft.
ReplyDeleteFUCK I KNEW IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteFUCK YOU TONY!!!!!!!!!!!
Craig wants the prisons changed before he goes back in.
ReplyDeleteAnd we all know this train wreck is just looking for the right track to happen on.
PLEASE
ReplyDeleteJust throw Glazer's useless ass in prison so we don't have to read this SHIT from him.
Goddammit Tony, WTF!?
great story Glazer
ReplyDeleteGlaze trying to do his best Mr. Sensitive scam. One of the standard techniques cons use in their quest for control over weaker individuals.
ReplyDeleteNot too bad. But is Craig willing to hire felons?
ReplyDeleteShould of used a jimmy
ReplyDeleteGlazer has Tony completely wrapped around his finger.
ReplyDeleteGuy knows his stuff.
Ah the old Dostoyevsky thing. Haha nice Glaze!!
ReplyDeleteOh Jim Norton the unknown lawyer will protect Glazer. Amazing such a fine upstanding lawyer can't be located anywhere.
ReplyDeleteZzzzzz
ReplyDeleteCraig Glazer Considers Entering U.S. Prison System?
ReplyDeleteI vote YES!!!!
Through his articles on this blog site, I have gotten the rather strong impression that he's a fellow attracted to all things PENAL.
He may be in search of some CORPORAL PUNISHMENT as well. As the brothers lift weights in the yard, Glazer sashays by wearing his best toupee and bends over to conspicuously drop his panties. "Heeeeey guys, I'm the King of Sting, and I'm looking for some nightstick action."
weird obsession with dudes by dudes among haters.
ReplyDeletethat says a lot.
Craig how many people you rip off let's just get to the good part! Tell us some great scam stories!
ReplyDeleteCraig, I'm trying to see things from your point of view, but I can't stick my head that far up my ass.
ReplyDeleteyes sir
ReplyDeleteToo good Craig.
ReplyDeleteGlazer is a classic socio-pathologic personality. His narcissism, transferal of responsibility to others, and rationalizations for the havoc his actions wreaked on others is straight out of the textbook.
ReplyDeleteI rest my case your honor.
WTF
ReplyDeleteFree meals, healthcare, and yes they have access to education thanks the entitlement government our prisons have it better than our kids. How bout this mandate birth control to people on welfare and drug addicts. Bring back the concept of family and capital punishment. Another drug addict lobbying for the legalization of drugs. Consider the very decay of family along with that of society that has slipped into the prison state is a direct result of drug use. Just because it's legal doesn't mean you won't hold up a liquor store for a fix. But considering Glazers record with the law it's no surprise the hypocrisy.
ReplyDelete808 that is to funny. bwaaaaa
ReplyDeleteOh no.
ReplyDeleteTony must be getting some good blow as part of the deal.
ReplyDeleteArmed robber, who supported his drug habit with a gun. Motherfucker should be in prison. Non-violent criminals are rotting in federal pen, but this piece of shit gets to prance around like a little bitch and act like he's a tough guy? Tough guy's don't run away like little bitches while their friends get gunned down. Bitch.
ReplyDeleteGot to love a con who can make it appear he has ethics. Haha!
ReplyDeleteWell to make a long story short, and to get right down to the nitty gritty of it... Craig has no pecker. I've held bigger Bic lighters in my hand.
ReplyDeleteSo I left before peeing my panties from laughing so hard.
You could see it under the roll of fat?
ReplyDeleteWtf's the deal with obsessing on Craig's dick?
ReplyDeleteCmon, do better ..WEAK!!!
You blew it at "Dostoyevsky". You don't know dick about Dostoyevsky. And by you, I mean Glazer, and Not whoever wrote this. It sure as fuck wasnt gayzer.
ReplyDeleteHell Glazer can't get his attorney name right so how is he going to know about some Russian?
ReplyDeleteUmmmm Im so fucking cool,,,,ummm ummm Ive got a sports car and a plug in vibrating tool….ummm ummm its not a weave….ummm ummm Im the king of sting…ummm ummmm. Hall-AAAAA- Loooooo-Ya.
ReplyDeleteGlazer quoting Dosteyevsky. The Russians are coming. I gotta think Craig, after spending some qulity time in prison, would know more about Dr. SHIVago.
ReplyDeleteHeh, heh...
Those ideas don't sound too bad Glaze. The key to any prison reform is bearing in mind the danger that violent offenders pose to society when considering the high rcidivism rates.
Legalization of the Hippie Lettuce is on it's way and long past time.
The big prison companies are traded on the Big Board and at this time, it is a growth business.
Criminalizing our neighbors for drug offenses is counterproductive for our country as a whole in my opinion.
For all the Glazer haters, some more Dosteyevsky.
"“Often a man endures for several years, submits and suffers the cruellest punishments, and then suddenly breaks out over some minute trifle, almost nothing at all.”
― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The House of the Dead
CG, don't you mean JOE Norton? He was very prominent, my attorney till he passed away. Did the Royals, Chiefs, Mission Hills set. Died of a heart attack wrestling with his little grand kids on the floor. Outstanding guy.
ReplyDeleteNO he means Jim Norton and his so called friends who commented said it was Jim as well.
ReplyDeleteMore than likely it's another scam by Glazer the King of Stink
Craig keeps making the false equivalence between Marijuana, which has been decriminalized in half the states-- and cocaine, which he has been twice convicted.
ReplyDeleteCall me crazy but I think if you are selling cocaine or heroin I think you should go to Jail. Not to con college, not to drug treatment, but jail.
Hard drugs destroy lives and cocaine dealers are not good people. Plus society should punish people who commit crimes for monetary gain as they are draining society.
Why go to school for 4 years plus grad school and spend half a decade working your way up the ladder at Cerner or Sprint or Garmin to make 100-125k a year when you can just sling 8 balls? People who choose to sling 8 balls rather than do it the hard way deserve to go to Jail.
Well said.
ReplyDeleteCraig had a chance to go to school paid for by Stan but he had to be a jerk and even fuck that all up.
ReplyDeleteSo once a loser always a loser.
Meaning good article
ReplyDeleteCraig nice article, wow the hateful ones are crazy.
ReplyDeletenot hateful just factual
ReplyDeleteSo whats wrong with this story?
ReplyDeleteHey Craig on KCC you did a ton of sex stories. Where are they now.
ReplyDelete10:51 first of all he didn't write it plus he is quoting shit he is to stupid to know.
ReplyDelete8:18 comment #2
ReplyDeleteThank you Dr. Juris Prudence!
A wonderful expert opinion.
The jury votes to convict, you have won your case!
10:53 his writer won't do the sex stories is the rumor a close source told me.
ReplyDeleteAnother good read Craig. I'm in favor of alot of your idea's. Seems a few people commenting here have been burned a time or two,who the fuck hasent? I say grow the fuck up and move on! You bunch of pussies. Life aint a bowl of cherries and taking all you're frustrations out on a Guy most of you have never even met is just plain stupid. If it was Craig that burnt you, sack up and do something about it or stfu! Look forward to the next one Craig.
ReplyDeleteBart ,Lawrence ks
Agreed.
ReplyDeleteIt seems, in fact, as though the second half of a man's life is made up of nothing, but the habits he has accumulated during the first half.
ReplyDeleteFyodor Dostoevsky
“Above all, don't lie to yourself. The man who lies to himself and listens to his own lie comes to a point that he cannot distinguish the truth within him, or around him, and so loses all respect for himself and for others. And having no respect he ceases to love.”
ReplyDelete― Fyodor Dostoyevsky, The Brothers Karamazov
Love the idea.
ReplyDeletewell said.

Baby, baby, baby, baby, he's blazing away Like the star, star, stars in the universe, yeah Baby, baby, baby, he's looking so cute, yeah Riding around in a blue jumpsuit, yeah.
CNN is reporting that Glazer is a major douche bag.
ReplyDeleteChet Gruntcakes
Vandalia Mo.
I didn't get past 2 million in the Federal system. That is just not true. The 2 million number is average lock up in federal system, state systems, county lockups, and work release at any given time. The US does lock up more of our population than any other country according to official numbers. Skipped the rest as within the first couple of lines, as usual, gets his facts wrong.
ReplyDeleteLove it.
ReplyDeleteGlaze you are prime example of the failings of the prison system. You did your time then continued on to your scams and never have taken an honest look at your crimes. You call yourself the King of Sting, think of yourself as Robin Hood. Until the system can make a person look inside of themselves and see what they truly are, it is worthless.
ReplyDeleteYou are just damn lucky that didn't apply the law to the letter in your case. You could have gotten life as your partner in crime was killed in an on going criminal enterprise you where involved in. In the eyes of the law, you are guilty of murder. At least as they are applied today.
Okay, I just don't get that comment. Craig owns a successful business. He's on radio and he seems like a really nice and smart person.
ReplyDeleteI don't know what your problem with him is but it's bordering on obsession.
Craig, you did a good job with this. Don't let some of these wackos get you down.
good one.
ReplyDeleteI guess the prison system failed to rehabilitate you Glazer, you just continued on your wrong path without becoming a decent, law abiding citizen. You will get your just dues in time, don't worry.
ReplyDeleteHey, Midtown Mom, many sociopaths can run a business and get on radio. So what? Doesn't change that he is a sociopath. Text book. Google sociopath. Actually I will save you the time. Here it is:
ReplyDeleteGlibness and Superficial Charm
Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.
Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."
Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.
Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.
Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.
Incapacity for Love
Need for Stimulation
Living on the edge. Verbal outbursts and physical punishments are normal. Promiscuity and gambling are common.
Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.
Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.
Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.
Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.
Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.
Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.
Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution. Changes life story readily.
How may of these traits does Glaze present? Most of the boxes are checked.
26 prisons in Missouri.
ReplyDeleteSays who? You? Who r u? How do you know? ..ill be expecting answers by tmro morning.
ReplyDelete12:27.those questions are directed at YOU ..
ReplyDeleteJust stumbled onto this comments section, guess that's what it's called lol, anyhoo wondering of any females wanna hook up?? Or something?
ReplyDelete!2:27 as myself has many times pointed out Craig Glazer is without a doubt probably a sociopath. I'd would love to have my group work with him, to make an attempt to see why he feels he is so entitled to what he does. He will no doubt return to prison and I base this on his rampant anger we have seen many times here and on other blogs. He is a very dangerous man to have walking the streets simply because he still feels he was doing society a favor by busting drug dealers, or so he claims. The real truth is out there somewhere but only Mr. Glazer knows that truth and will never tell it unless he feels he can benefit more from it. Sadly it's the owners of these blogs who feed his addiction and has lead me to wonder if they realize the damage they are causing and the possible harm they could be causing someone to receive by continuing to publish Mr. Glazers stories. Sociopaths are liars and many have been known to just snap and physically attack people only because they have exposed the lie or a lie they want people to believe is the truth. Mr. Glazer would never have his own website that would require work and effort on his part to do so. The sociopath instead is one who preys on the weakness of others convincing them he is the best person who ever entered their lives. As many others in Mr. Glazer's past have became victims in some form or another so will Mr. Botello. Jeffrey Dahmer, and we all know what kind of a person he was had and after death still has a fan club. While in jail he received money from people all over the world. So Mr. Glazer, having people who say they like him comes not only from those who have a genuine awe of him to those who think it's cool to like someone who they think is famous. Al Capone is another example of someone who had many followers.
ReplyDeleteYou're the one who sounds like a nut case ..holy shit ..lol, thanks for the laugh this morning ..goofy man, plain goofy.
ReplyDelete"Without a doubt probably "
ReplyDeleteLol ..fucking idiot.
Tony is still blowing is boyfriend, Craigy
ReplyDeleteIf the article says anything about "Glazer", simply scroll right past it....It's not worth reading or spending time on. FACT.
ReplyDeleteKeep posting fake comments, Craig, maybe you'll get to 100 and actually accomplish something with your life. Other than pointing guns at peoples' heads to rob them for drugs. You seem to think that is an accomplishment, but no one else does.
ReplyDeleteCraig Glazer important words. Your ideas are good ones. Hard to disagree. Nice to see some commenters bash the crazies who hang on your every word in order to try and jump down your pants. Who are these nuts?
ReplyDeleteWe have a hater that never stops saying Glazer is posting fake comments. Well one how can they be fake, we can read them. Two, guess Glazer stays up around the clock just to post comments. Well the hater does. Whoever you are try reading a book.
ReplyDeleteGlaze we have checked it out, investigated. We ran it down for you friend. The hate mail is nearly all Smartman, who is up all night hating on you, and Super Dave, the big loser. Those two are 9 out of 10 on hate comments. I think Smart Man may be a sicko, I'd contact the law on that wacky brain, he likely goes through your trash looking for old undies. He's a real sick human. Super Dave is just a fat harmless tub salesman, sorry cleaner. Glaze those two must have no lives. Me I'm busy.
ReplyDeleteMaybe Glazer should just wake up and accept he's probably one of the most mistrusted people in KC.
ReplyDeleteThe End
ReplyDeleteTony can you get those two goons off the site? This Smart Man and Super Dave? If thats true. I don't find their comments amusing or helpful.
ReplyDelete..

..
Who is Smart Man and this Super Dave? Why do they hate Craig so much. I don't get it. These comments make no sense, can't be true, Doesn't add up. The ones they place on here. Why?
ReplyDeleteThat's just Glazer, fake commenting, claiming that it's only two posters that think he's a scumbag. I don't know who Smart Man is, and I think Stupid Dope is a complete asshat. I do however, think that a piece of shit that points guns at peoples' heads to steal drugs to support his habit is just that, a piece of shit. Can you imagine if he was black? Tony would post twenty articles about what a piece of shit he is. But no, he's white, so Tony puts him up as some sort of words-of-wisdom guest columnist. Then the narcissistic ass clown comes on and posts a bunch of fake comments under made up names, telling us what an incredible guy he is. Fucking sad.
ReplyDelete3:45am is unmistakably stupid Dave. Its hard to miss his unique style of babbling on. What a fuckin looooooser!
ReplyDeletePaybacks are hell for the haters.
ReplyDeleteAnother GLAZEAMAZING writing Craig.
ReplyDeleteRun Craig's "contributions" through a good plagiarism checker.
ReplyDelete8:43 who was 12:27 then since you know so much?
ReplyDeleteGuess this smartman and superdave guy must never sleep or work since they must post 24 hrs a day in here. You just showed what an idiot loser you are.
Anonymous is what, the smartest fucker here?
ReplyDeleteKC NONCONFIDENTIAL: 4/22/13 9AM
ReplyDeleteHarley is currently having his ass handed to him. He just doesn’t know it quite yet. Stay tuned, film at 11:00.
ReplyDeleteHow does anyone know who anyone is or for that matter even care. Is CG really Craig or his writer? Is Chuck really Chuck or just a name he uses? We all think it looks like Harley isn't Harley but do we really know that? Then you have the real Harley who ever that is. Then you have probably 500 or more aliases names floating around as well. Is Tony always Tony? Some people sure waste a lot of time on here wondering who someone might or might not be. But I see some of these names in here in other blogs and they don't act as you all claim they do in here so I am suspicious to it being fact. I have seen smartman's name else where all the time but never in here, but he gets the blame for stuff, don't add up.
ReplyDeleteagreed
ReplyDeleteI am Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteHow about all the anonymous people boycott Glazers next story and lets see how many comments it gets. Won't be hard to spot the fake ones then.
ReplyDeleteCriminals trumpeting their crimes is nothing new.
ReplyDeleteOnly a conspiracy theorist whack job would claim to know the unknowable. So, there are only three commenters, StupidDave, Smartman & Glazer himself. Does that really seem reasonable to you?
ReplyDeleteTrue Dat
ReplyDelete11:08am: thats exactly right.
ReplyDelete10:54 You realize you posted that under Anonymous. You aren't Anonymous. I am.
ReplyDeleteNo I am
ReplyDeleteWhere were you losers raised? Barn?
ReplyDeleteFuck Craig Glazer.
ReplyDeleteTo answer stupid Dave's question
ReplyDelete"Who was 12:27 then ".
Again it was YOU. Man you're too fuckin easy..nobody sound's as retarded as you.really strange but I don't recall "super Dave "commenting on any of Craig's posts on tkc, other blogs,oh fuck ya.
Kinda strange, considering.
Your an old fool stupid Dave.
2:29 If you want to live in our country, learn the fucking language.
ReplyDeleteGlazer must be sitting back laughing his ass off at all you shitheels..goddamn,you people have issues.
ReplyDeleteOnce again good responses. Many are even on the story itself. Will likely have a new one up tomorrow evening. Have a nice weekend. Thank you for your support, yes even the haters. My favorite on this round.."He robbed drug dealers at gunpoint to support his habbit, what an asshole." Really in the early 70's we smoked weed, coke didn't really come into big use til latter. How much weed do you think I needed? 33 stings, millions of dollars, I was 18,19....weed sure was a nasty habit, huh. I love it.
ReplyDeleteCraig boy, you remain on fire. Agree with your story line.
ReplyDeleteLove it"! You da king baby!
ReplyDelete3:29 you missed this didn't you? Only a conspiracy theorist whack job would claim to know the unknowable You a KCMOPD detective by chance? Would explain why you can't solve anything. I am 12:27 ass clown.
ReplyDeleteGo clean to tennis courts dave
ReplyDeleteDave Rice?
ReplyDelete
