Here's what we've learned from today's discussion of Kansas City violence . . .
- A big VICTORY for MO House Rep. Brandon Ellington - It's not a bad thing to have almost TWO DOZEN POLITICOS PAY HOMAGE to anti-violence efforts.
- The crowd noticed that politicos left early . . . Credit to folks like State Sen. Holsman and Jackson County Legislator Theresa Garza Ruiz and Councilman Jermaine Reed who stayed just a bit longer.
- Credit to this bold effort but most at the event agreed that it wasn't gonna change things.

ReplyDeleteNo it’s not going to change a thing. There never was a real clear agenda for this meeting. I know yes it was to discuss the city’s violence but there is no need to talk about that because unless you been asleep the past five years you know without a doubt all about it.
ReplyDeleteSo what we had was a few politicians and idiot leaders of idiot non-producing groups showing up to jack their jaws to the few who attended this gathering of wasted time. They stood up and said all the things they thought the crowd wanted to hear, then hauled ass out the door as soon as possible to get on with their weekend plans forgetting anything they said or heard before getting to the next block.
Till clear agendas and plans by public leaders of what needs to be done about violence in this town are really made only then can they then start getting public input as well as bringing the public to speed on their part of making it all happen.
If anyone was at that meeting today was lost as to what the issues really are, they was in the wrong place and brain dead to life around them. There was not a one of those politicians on stage today that didn’t know what the real issues are. As well, they choose to ignore talking about them in a manner that showed effort is and is going to start being made now to stop it.
So till the leaders of this town and the residents as well decide to really make efforts to stop the violence, these supposed to be feel good shows of support, are a total waste of time and chock full of stupidity in action.
