CELEBRATE THE WHITE PEOPLE OF WALDO!!!
Check another instance of Kansas City disparity when it comes to media coverage and reaction . . .
Notice this Snowpocalypse story on blast throughout Kansas City during this news cycle:
Neighbors use snow shovels to save man's life
Yes, yes . . . The white people are just great when they're not uniting against every minority who passes through because they live in fear of break-ins . . .
But back to my point . . .
Notice the trend: Kansas City media loves to highlight groups of white people and their good deeds and the stories are met with nearly universal approval. Meanwhile, most coverage offered to people of color is almost always related to something negative and often met with derision from media denizens and commenters.
And in the rare instance when the coverage is really great (it happens) . . . N-word guy and his friends usually troll every mention of Kansas City minority achievement. Seriously, there is no online equivalent of the many people who use every story involving people of color to spout racial epithets and misinformed social commentary.
This broadcast and publishing disparity is without question and really just a reflection of the very real discrimination that not only persists in the real world but also serves to segment Kansas City's populace in terms of media consumption.
