  2. Your Honest Leaders1/30/13, 11:24 AM

    Translation:

We will put up a dog-and-pony show, spend a shit-load of taxpayer dollars, have no effect whatsoever on crime, pat each other on the back, party some more on your dime, build a ridiculously expensive toy train that no-one will use, tax the shit out of you to pay for the budget "shortfalls", continue to steal and spend your money any way we want to, and install more red light cameras to pick your pockets with.

  3. Good thing they were able to stop those four murders within 24 hours the other day which such effectiveness.

    1. Actually, at least a few of the 4 murders may well be a result of the clean sweep/NoVA efforts by way of criminals eliminating potential witnesses...or something along those lines.
A sad reality of crime fighting efforts, in my opinion. However, I'm sure some other folks commenting here would be pleased to learn this may be the result of such efforts.

  4. Submitting my final edited draft for the press conference.

    Speaker:

We see the comforts and conveniences of safety and security slipping away and we'll do anything to try to hang onto them, including lying to ourselves and you to such an immersive degree about what is really happening that we suppose we can manufacture a happy counter-reality.

  5. Just decalre the eastside a WAR ZONE and institute MARTIAL LAW!

    ReplyDelete
  6. Watch there will be six murders in twenty four hours concluding this press conference. Or at least an upside to counter the Newspeak they put out at the conference.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Or make suburban visits mandatory.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Cocktails, snacks, and back pats will be served immediately following the press conference for city officials only at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Will they invite members of the community? That is the important part of the discussion.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Why would they invite members of the community? They would be forced to have to sit through a questions period with blank stares and their arms folded over their midsections.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Will they be showing my member to the community? It's important for the dicksuction.

    ReplyDelete
  12. KC NoVA - The last I heard that was 1 Captain, supervising 1 Sergeant, supervising 2 Officers.

No disrespect to those 4, but how the hell are they supposed to do what 1400 cops (including those 4) haven't been able to do? Just a new nifty name for the same old smoke and mirrors.

  14. At least I can say something positive about this effort. I know from personal experience that Tammy Dickinson is very good at her job. No offense to the others, except maybe Mayor Sly James.
It is however nice to see the mayor stop tinkering with his train long enough to address KC crime.

  15. 1152: exactly right.

Just another dog and pony show.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Question: Why are we blowing money on a streetcar when crime is out of control and we are hurting for police officers according to one of our own city officials?

Response: Security, please remove this person. Thank you, now any other questions? Ne nice now.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Why are we still doing the same thing over and over if it doesn't work?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thank you thank you, thank you. We're here today to announce the success of operation clean sweep, and we are pleased to announce this year our crime and homicides have been reduced to zero as evidenced by the great turnout for the basketball games, party arty, the dueling pianos and DJ Van Lue at Ernie Biggs, local television viewers for the SAG awards red-carpet arrivals, and of course the meeting at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church for Midtowners, our salt surplus for snow removal, and the new trees we planted to replace the old ones in Manheim, and other things that make Kansas City a world class city and tourist destination.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Great spin (smoke) 12:10. You got talent.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Now you should check the patrons at the Capital Grille. It'll be the same load of titsuckers and politicians, all chowing down and drinking on your dime Kansas City. Enjoy.

  21. anyone want to take bets on whether or not Forte says anything? The two prosecutors will throw some stuff out there about going after bad people. Sly will pontificate at length but never say anything. And Forte will stand to the side with his unshaven mug and nod his head.

  22. "Operation Clean Sweep" ?
Geez, for a second there, I thought my dreams of liberty-minded patriots kicking all the entrenched political bums out of office might have begun.
What a letdown, just some political press release to distract citizens from the reality.

  23. Robber with orange beard strikes Crossroads haberdashery . . developing . . . pointed a handgun at the owner, demanding cash. He stole money from the register and got angry when he learned the store didn’t have a safe, police said. He then grabbed two black hoodies, stuffed them into a bag with the stolen cash and left.

  24. yes it is smoke and mirrors! Trust me folks....

Police are investigating after two people died from shooting injuries in south Kansas City Wednesday afternoon.

Nothing to see here move along.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Two huh? Couple more and that will make four for the next 24 hours. Making it 8 murders in 48 hours.

    What a city!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Isn't Aim4peace supposed to be preventing murders? Where is Tracie McClendon-Cole and why is she still spending Health Levy funds to feed her face?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Hell we'll still be the most dangerous city in the western hemisphere for 2013 at the rate we are going and the way the momentum is going.

  30. Two more deaths bring KC’s homicide total since Monday to six.

    Nice job Mayor

  31. The real crime is the smoke this administration is blowing about all the great things they are doing about it.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Good call there 1136, indeed 2 more murdered this morning. At this rate, people in Chicago are going to shake their heads at us.

    ReplyDelete
  33. So is this replacing the Hot Spot program?

    ReplyDelete
  34. Yeah, whatever happened to all the noise, that nigger Alonzo was making?? He couldn't solve a shoplifting event, much less anything of consequence.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Here is a possible solution since the police are impotent in control crime: how about sending in the National Guard and locking down that section of town, rounding up the troublemakers, branding them domestic terrorists and trying them in military tribunals. We do it in Afghanistan, why not the eastside? These assholes on the eastside and in other urban areas are a bigger threat than any foreign terrorist. Enough of this Liberal bullshit about we need to pour more money in the urban areas. Until the urban areas become safe, there can be no economic development. These are Lyndon Johnson’s grandchildren and the result of the so called War on Poverty and the welfare state it begat. How about instead of nation building in the Middle East, we rebuild this nation in the Middle West and on the East and West coasts?

  41. The police need to stop anyone they want to (walking, driving, hanging out, standing around, on a front porch, search them, get i.d. and run them through their system to see if they are wanted for anything. If so, lock them up.

I do agree we should have the National Guard out on the streets on the East Side to control these urban terrorists.

  42. MLK was nothing more than a communist and wannabe socialist. He wanted death to the white man. Dont believe me, look into the conspiracies about him. He was nothing more than a verbal nigger with a hidden agenda. I still can't believe this nation has a holiday after him.

  48. 3:29, the PD could stop everyone breaking the law, and still Jackson County would give them all probation or release them pending further investigation, just like they do every person facing state charges unless its a murder, newsworthy robbery, or rape. Burglars, Auto Theft, and Drugs don't get filed on these days.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Maybe it's time for KC to contract Blackwater to patrol and do the dirty work the city doesn't want to do.
