"Wondering who's paying for the Membership Recruitment Brunch Freedom Inc. is having 1/6/13 @ The Bristol in the Power and Light District. Interesting, no African American owned establishments were available to host " the Black Political Club" ? Hopefully, these young professionals won't become tainted due to their potential affiliation with the once outstanding organization."
We're sure that Eastside restaurants could use the biz and the Bristol really isn't my bag, so these inquiries seem appropriate.

ReplyDeleteThe Freedom Inc. Board would not have a clue about any of the foods you mentioned. That food would be way too exotic for the Freedom Inc. crowd.
They will order what every no-class moron orders: A well-done steak, and NO vegetables other than a baked potato that they will cover with butter and bacon-like bits and loads of salt. They will demand "steak sauce." Then, in order to show that they are really in the know, they will send everything back to be "warmed up." It is the same routine that they go through everywhere they go because they do not have a clue how to act, they have no taste, but they want to make people think they are really particular. They are just stupid. And yes, they think tipping is optional, and since they had to send everything back, they will not tip.
I'll bite TKC. But you're really just making me hungry.

Unsuspecting young professionals who would even consider joining this organization and all its corruption would be an embarrassment to the advancements made by Black, educated people. Without a doubt, these young professionals won’t bother to do their research about the organization. Instead, most will join on the basis of accomplishments touted and attained more than 40 years ago. This group has had no impact, accomplishments nor potential membership interest from any age demographic, particularly the young professional, in as much time. It is past its useful life.
ReplyDeleteAnybody who knows, or wants to know, anything about Freedom, Inc. and its organizers know that the boat load of the leaders of the organization have been encompassed in controversy, illegal dealings, corruption, possible drug sales and the list goes on and on. It’s nothing more than coed fraternity.
The only “young professional” interested in an organization like this would be of the thug-persuasion. We have enough criminals to keep track of without having manufactured political thugs. The draw and theme for the event is undoubtedly “How much can you bleed a community and profit their Blackness?”
And so, what is clearly visible is a metastatic movement of disillusionment and self-serving domination over a group of people who have been exploited to the point that they no longer recognize the abuse as such. So, young professional, get in while the getting is good. We know you won’t bother to understand the very complex beast known as Freedom, Inc. The closure of this organization would be like a dark cloud moving past to reveal a ray of sunshine. How refreshing that would be.

Changs that hates them, it is everybody.One of my favorite stories, I'll try to make it short.Years ago I was waiting to be seated at the Country Kitchen that used to be at I35 & 75th by SM Med Center. While waiting I was watching a black server wait on a table of about 12 black people. I can see them up to their usual restauant antics. My friend and I get seated in the same servers section. He walks up to our table shaking his head and greets us with, and I quote,"Man, I know those niggers aren't going to leave me shit." I know exactly what he is talking about but play dumb and ask what he means. The diatribe he went on about black people was absolutely hilarious. Of course, us whiteys left a 100% tip.

It's funny we see the nicely dressed black couple sit at their table for almost an hour waiting for service yet we walk in the wait staff fall over themselves to wait us and we don't even tip! Maybe the blacks would tip better for better service? Just a thought.

ReplyDeleteI worked with Jews in electronics for 30 years all over the country. They tip big because they hate the sterotype.
I am sure some blacks tip the 15% and some Jews don't tip, but usually it is exactly as stated in my experence and with folks I know very well in the service industry.
The fuckin Jews pick up the whole tab.
