WHAT'S IMPORTANT HERE IS ONCE AGAIN DEAD TREE MEDIA IS MORE CONCERNED ABOUT SILENCING VOICES THEY FIND DISAGREEABLE THAN CREATING AN INCLUSIVE CONVERSATION!!!
In my experience this is a dangerous trend among a few Kansas City Dead Tree Media writers . . . Some of them seem to think that it's their job to control the local discourse and exclude anyone who disagrees.
For the record, it's worth remembering that Clay Chastain is the only person connected to local transit issues who has won a citywide election. Furthermore, Mr. Chastain has earned signatures from thousands upon thousands of residents in his transit crusade. So, disagree with him all you'd like . . . When it comes to making contact with voters Mr. Chastain's work still outpaces any other group of transit activists in town by far.

The thing I take from this story is that GW Gusewelle, despite having little to say in his columns, appears to have been cranking them out since before the Star-Times merger.

KC Star is located on main street, ground zero for any transit plan. The bottom line is that they expect to be included in any graft. If they are not they will not support the project.
