TKC BREAKING NEWS AND PARTY PIX!!! COWTOWN POLITICAL ELITE CELEBRATE AS THE TOTALLY RIGGED KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN STREETCAR VOTE STAYS WINNING!!!

Only a few hundred voters decided on a vote that will cost Kansas City more than $100 Million and probably a lot more this evening for a streetcar that only runs less than 2 miles.

The results . . .

Only a paltry 551 voters turned in ballots amid this Kansas City Toy Train Conspiracy

Here's a more in-depth look at the results

Sales Tax: 351 voted yes/198 voted NO

Property Tax: 344 voted yes/206 voted NO

But that's not the important part, this election was rigged from the very start.

Here's how it looked:

The Toy Train is the brain child of Council Dude Russ Johnson.

Also, look in the background and see Mayor Sly watching me watching him . . . Which I think is a 70s song.

Mayor Sly Money Quote: "Just like in my campaign, we said 'Either Go Big Or Go Home. Today Kansas City Voted Big . . . We Will Make Kansas City A World Class City."

A Toy Train supporter talking to a reporter asking a few questions that don't touch on the subject of this TKC Truism:

IF KANSAS CITY CAN'T KEEP TRACK OF A LOUSY $15K THAN HOW ARE WE GOING TO MANAGE A $100 MILLION CONTRACT!!!

The answer is: You should have attended college and majored in political consulting.

Check out Kansas City Toy Train Conspirators who labored tirelessly at coffee shops!!!

Here are 3 potential Kansas City Toy Train Riders who will have to support the $100 Million project.

Council Dude Glover said a lot of things but here's what stuck with me: "This vote was never about just one streetcar line. We are going to build more and we're going to have another line coming soon in the 4th District."

So that's another $100 million worth of property taxes and sales taxes levied on Kansas City.

Council Dude also exclaimed: "This is a night for partying."

Overall it was a pretty sad affair with politicos, consultants and other conspirators pretty much ruining this town . . . Not a word about other problems still plaguing Kansas City.

The Toy Train is the only solution Kansas City's political elite are offering this town.

  18. Why don't you people understand, this is ILLEGAL.

They are raising taxes on all of us without voter consent. They are borrowing against a district without a credit raiting, they are looting the general fund for this project.

This is the biggest ripoff KC has ever seen that. Has been led by a Mayor who is too dumb to know what's happening.

It's time to call for an investigation of these crimes. This is nothing less than fraud.

  25. I have already contacted Kansas to see about incentives to move my business over there. I also plan to boycott any business with one of those insipid "streetcar supporter" signs in their window. There is no restaurant in the TDD good enough to go to that justifies adding a total of 13% extra in sales taxes to the bill (don't forget about the 1/2% increase for the Parks effective Jan. 1.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well your getting the progress you want like it or not. You can't sit around complaining Funkhouser isn't blowing enough money on stupid idiotic things we don't need that's about the only benefit. Sly will bankrupt this city soon enough.

  27. SLY KINGFISH JAMES. MAYOR KINGFISH.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sly is quoted by KMBZ news that he didn't care about the citizens who this affects and didn't have the opportunity to vote on it. 600 and some voters voted for it and that will tax all of KC and it's visitors.

100 million dollars for 2 miles....and Sly doesn't understand why so many businesses are moving to Kansas.

And his he doesn't care about those who didn't vote speaks to his arrogance.

  33. No, this fiasco is just beginning. KCMO is notorious for big ribbon-cuttings and balloon launches and then completely ignoring and neglecting how things are actually done and how they turn out. It will shortly on to the next big thing for Johnson and the rest of the gang at city hall.
And that's when THE REAL MONEY is there for the taking.
    We ain't seen nothing yet!

  35. @7:09pm Can you post a link to where Sly said that? If he really said that it would be great to have and bring up when he runs for reelection. Of course by then, this whole thing will have collapsed of it's own weight, just empty folly trolley cars going back and forth, up and down Main Street.

  38. Dearest TKC,

As one of the "3 potential Kansas City Toy Train Riders who will have to support the $100 Million project. ",(pictured in your blog) I have to say you are pretty grumpy (when's the last time you had a good B.M.?) Just because someone is not wearing a suit does not mean they are automatically "toy train" car riders (I do own a car mister). We did the marketing for the streetcar, are okay with a tax increase and pretty ecstatic it passed. Just because someone looks a certain way does not mean they are a "young downtown dweller".

    Hugs Kisses and Things,
    S.W.

PS- I like all the poopsluts on your blog...good work.

  39. Kansas City wins. Suck it, haters. Have fun driving to joco to 'spend your money elsewhere.' Hey sue @655, kansas won't have much incentive for you when they stop collecting taxes next year. Good riddance.

  43. Buh, bye, Sue. Why don't you float on a filter down your river of crocodile tears. I'm sure nothing will happen to your building after you sell it for 3x what you paid for it. Enjoy NKC, where they already have a mechanism in place to fund a streetcar extension, or Kansas, where they have TDD's all over to pay for mall parking lots...

    ReplyDelete
  44. Go ahead and boycott. Spend your money at taxpayer subsidized chain restaurants in beigeland so KS can funnel your $$ to its corporate masters to move businesses back and fortch between identical office centers in cornfeilds.

  45. The toy train got more actual votes than Obama did in KC.

    Sly...indeed.

  46. Meanwhile, Kansas is spending $600 million on an interchange where there already one that no one uses for traffic volumes that do not exist and aren't supposed to until 2025.

Why haven't you linked the assault that happened today at central high school. Wait a minute, its under different name now? If u haven't heard about it, u best do some digging. A weapon made it into the school today!

  67. "It will be the smallest number of voters committing the largest amount of money in the history of the city," said Kansas City Public Library Director Crosby Kemper III, speaking as chair of the Show-Me Institute free-market think tank on Kansas City Public Television's "Week in Review" show.

Kemper, who lives downtown, points out the project would entail decades of debt payments and annual operating costs of about $3 million, pushing the price tag way above $100 million.

  77. Russ Johnson's ideas are just terrific, aren't they? aspirations of being Mayor? I am sure his suggestion to put the ambulance into the fire department, which has been a miserable failure and now the ridiculous toy train will prevent his being mayor from ever happening. He is an idiot and has little man syndrome.
