SHAME ON MISSOURI GOV. JAY FOR POINTLESS DEER KILLING STUNT!!!

A recent publicity stunt proves once again that Missouri Governor Jay Nixon is more interested in earning media coverage than providing any kind of leadership.

Check it:

The venison from a deer shot by Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon will go to a program that helps provide meat to families in need.

Certainly a few reactionaries might support this kind of PR stunt barbarism from a Missouri Democrat looking to disguise his party affiliation.

But TKC has the FACTS that mainstream media doesn't want to reveal . . .

1. Earlier this year TKC uncovered that deer meat is untouched, ill-prepared and unwanted at most Kansas City homeless shelters.

Dos - This pointless gesture really just CONFIRMS TKC TIPSTERS telling us that Gov. Jay is really just running for President despite the fact that he's nothing more than a ceremonial Gov. who doesn't even have the power of a veto.

Finally - Given that nobody wants his meat (hehe) . . . This act of cruelty from Gov. Jay reminds us that killing any living creature for sport is shameful. Better science and chemical sterilization can keep deer populations under control . . . And Missouri hunters really don't care about conservation . . . Gov. Jay is just playing the culture war and earning a bit of press.

It may not be a big deal to a lot of people but it's a shame that Bambi's mom had to give up her life for his career.

  3. What you're saying about Missouri hunters is absolutely untrue. People do care about conservation and keeping the deer population low.

  4. Better science & chemical sterilization? You're joking, right? BTW~ Every deer my husband shoots goes to families 1000% grateful for the meat.

  8. Ever been to a slaughter house, like where your dinner came from (or for you vegetarians, where your belt and purse came from)? Now THAT'S a brutal experience. Who's the real barbarians? Not us hunters.

  9. Way off base TKC. Hunters are by far the best conservationists in the United States. Not often you see a card carrying NRA member involved in criminal activity. Don't know why we can't take the dead niggers to the homeless shelters, bet they taste like chicken.

  10. A Missouri politician more interested in publicity than in providing leadership?
    Shocking!
It's good that there aren't any of those involved in KCMO government!

  15. Too bad the chronic wasting disease is running rampant in north central missouri. It's a serious problem and extremely devastating to deer and maybe people. The drought has put a lot of pressure on the deer to find food and a lot of fools are baiting them in central areas. These are the perfect breeding grounds for chronic wasting. Be careful of what you hunt, and report any deer to the state so everyone can be aware of its spread.

  16. Tony? You continue to amaze even me with your stupidity.

The deer that Nixon killed is going to a meat processor. It is then donated to a professional organization that distributes the venison.

Your article from "earlier this year", dealt with venison that was NOT prepared by a licensed processing plant. Of course shelters will not accept meat directly from hunters who don't have the meat processed through licensed and inspected meat processors.

Once again, Tony trying to make something out of nothing.

  17. Hunting for sport, is killing for sport. The yearlings in my front yard don't even skit when I walk through them. I like that better than deer meat.

  26. I have 3 families that are less fortunate that ask me every year if I can provide them with some venison. It makes me feel pretty good when I am able to do so.

And killing for sport? Hardly the case. The countless hours I spend in my deer stand every fall/winter bowhunting plus the time and labor involved after harvesting the animal hardly makes it sport. It is a passion for many of us. A way to bond with friends and family.

  27. Tony, you really need to take some time and look around you at all of the the items that come from animals. And if you think deer hunting is bad, check out the slaughterhouses. You will quickly go vegan. Venison is some of the cleanest, freshest, and healthiest protein you will ever find. Even if you need to add a lot of spices to it.

  29. Typical deer hunter. Recently driving down 152 in Northland. Forrest green Ford Tarus passes me. Dweeb deer hunter with his orange hat on sneers, deer hanging out back. Now I live 20 miles north of 152/169. 3 hours later guy drives by my farm and dumps deer out by creek 100yds from my house. That is a Missouri deer hunter !
