T Ghereen Impact Zone is not any more a jobs training program than it was a weatherization program.
ReplyDeleteIt is a victimization/entitlement "I'll go to Washington and get you some money that you can apread around without any accountability" program by Cleaver, who doesn't even have the common decency and respect for the taxpayers to pay back his SBA-guaranteed business loan even though he and his wife have made very handsome livings over the decades and mostly on the public dime.
MLK Village, 18th and Vine, Citadel Plaza, the list is almost endless and the city and corporations just keep pouring millions into this bottomless pit because they're afraid of being called names or worse if they don't.
Next, just wait to see where the money goes with the Chamber Big 5 Urban Core program. The board is already stacked with the usual suspects.
And the folks who actually live on the east side continue to suffer.
What's the next out-of-town program that's going to save the day?

1:35pm is right. The Green Zone is doing just fine for a handful of insiders who are doing just fine from it. For folks paying for it and hoping for something better, not so much.
First of all Byron I'm sure that story is made up, but even if it wasn't you just made a judgement of an entire group of people from the actions of one person and that is the basis of racism.
