READ THIS OPEN LETTER TO KCPD CHIEF FORTÉ FROM ALONZO WASHINGTON REGARDING THE DANGEROUS AFTERMATH OF A KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE!!!

"Today, I received a very disturbing phone call from the mother of KCMO's 26th murder victim (Damon D. Price). She told me that her determination to get answers in her son's murder case is only putting her at risk of becoming a target herself. She also fears that her younger son will be slain as well if she does not receive any assistance from your police department. There are two people who have been named as the killers of Damon Price on the streets . . .
I was informed by the mother of Damon Price that your detectives have refused to investigate these tips. As a community advocate I try to encourage the public to come forward with tips to assist various police departments in solving violent crimes and murders. I simply do this in a attempt to make the Kansas City area better. Too many killers go free in our area and most people don't care unless the slayings impact them. I try to fight that apathy. This is a never ending battle . . ."

Where's Al "The Crime Fighter, if There's Any Money In It" Brooks? We always hear about all his street cred and getting thugs to turn themselves in. Looks like a great opportunity.
And where's the new Community Support Division of the KCPD? Instead of actually hitting the streets and finding out what's going on, they're knocking on doors and having yet another round of town hall meetings with the same old folks and putting out the same old pr crap.
Alonzo is almost as full of crap as he is of himself, but even a stopped clock is right twice a day and he may be on to something here. If resdients can't work with and share information with the poloce without great risk to themselves, there's not going to be any information.
Maybe Forte' can put some of his command staff working on that insteads of all the superficial hollow make-believe "initiatives" that are rolled out every week.
In fact, maybe solving that cooperation issue would be a ggod project for the police board.

Damon Price was a piece of shit. Whoever killed him wanted him dead, shot him multiple times with an ak at point blank range. That doesn't happen for no reason, fuck him. Society is a better place without him
