The most important political news of this week revealed that an increasing number of young people are abandoning the traditional liberal, Democrat paradigm/stereotype that's applied to the youth vote. Turns out an increasing number of young voters are quite conservative.
Even better . . . In Kansas City over the past few years we've noted that some of the most politically active young people in the area are eschewing the tired, old Dual Party system altogether.

Meet Megan Westenhaver
At only 26 years-old Megan is a Kansas City area photog, activist, small biz owner . . . And now . . .
MEGAN WESTENHAVER IS REPLACING TRACY WARD AS THE NEW LEADER OF KANSAS CITY'S LIBERTY RESTORATION PROJECT!!!
Obviously, Tracy Ward has been instrumental in creating an amazing and dynamic organization that Megan now leads and prepares to rocket to new levels of success. Or something . . . Sorry, that line just made sense given the photo . . . Click any image for a bigger version. But I digress . . .
Recently, I had a chance to talk to Megan and Tracy and they seemed excited about the future of the group.
Don't worry . . . All of the classic causes of the LRP will still be in place. They plan to continue to protest Red Light Cameras, Checkpoints, City Council Power Grabs and more . . .
However . . .
"We also want to focus on voter education and informational efforts that will offer a chance for people get an alternative perspective," Ms. Westenhaver said. "This is an exciting group and I'm looking forward to working to continue the legacy that Tracy has started here."
Clearly, the future for Libertarians and Liberty Activists is wide open in Kansas City.
During the GOP Primary Ron Paul and his supporters launched one of the most impressive rallies in the country from Union Station.
Across Missouri it's only Liberty Activists who have fought and won some major victories against Red Light Cameras.
And Liberty Activist Tracy Ward earned AN IMPRESSIVE NUMBER OF VOTES in her City Council bid that eclipsed so many other long-standing Democrat machine candidates.
The change-up in leadership for the LRP has run rather seamlessly in the aftermath of a rather successful Freedom Fest Event.
Look for Ms. Westenhaver to have a lot to say on the fight for liberty in Kansas City amid a political climate that increasingly relies on big government via both political parties.
