TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY RON PAUL SUPPORTER OFFERS A GLIMPSE BEHIND THE SCENES OF A DIVIDED GOP CONVENTION!!!

Tonight's the big night for the GOP to rally around a single candidate but a Kansas City activist tells a different story about the reality of the convention.

Last night I was lucky enough to talk briefly with @Amanda about her participation in the GOP Convention festivities in support of Ron Paul.

We've heard stories about how the GOP treated this young and enthusiastic cross-section of their party . . .

Ron Paul Convention Delegates Accuse Security Of Suppressing Their Signs

@Amanda confirms these details and offers additional perspective.

"Four years ago, we were told 'Get involved' in the party. Change it from the inside. But it was obvious that Ron Paul supporters were treated with a lot of suspicion at the convention," she said.

The confrontation on the floor of the GOP Convention still brings up harsh feelings from Ron Paul Supporters.

Through friends still at the convention and other contacts . . . @Amanda notes talk of sign stealing and the effort to silence Ron Paul supporters.

"What I witnessed was outright hostility from anyone who didn't support the establishment GOP position. There wasn't any room for discussion or dissent or even an acknowledgement of what these grassroots supporters bring to the table of the GOP," she said. "There were some bright spots to the convention and The Ron Paul Festival was really the most energized part of the event. Other than that . . . It was the same old party line that ignores people who want to protect our Liberty."

We hope to hear more from @Amanda. She's one of many young activists dedicated to promoting Liberty in Kansas City and offering a welcomed alternative perspective.

  1. There is no room for dissent of the Romney Ryan ticket.

  2. Ron Paul established his "brand" and it is not going away any time soon.

  3. The only possible worse ticket for the Republicans would be, um, Paul, Palin, Santorum, and that other broad who won't shut up. Oh and the governor of Texas. Oh, and Newt Gingrich.

Paul's toast. They probably have better government in Mexico than Paul would deliver.

  4. Crazy Uncle Ron. Hidden away in a closet. Appropriate.

  5. In politics there is winning and losing. Close counts in horsehoes and handgrenades.
And winning is 100%, as losing.
If your candidate lost and you can't support someone else, write your person in.
And work to change the outcomes next time.
And in between elections, for God's sake, get a life!

  6. Damn It! How am I gonna blow up explosives out front on the 4th of July and have me some fun to express my Liberty! Shit I need to go get some more ink!

  7. Ron Paul is a goofy, old bastard, who won't support his own party to defeat Nobama. If we're saddled with another four years of this disaster, it will be in no small part, the responsibility of another loser, Ron Paul.

  10. agree with Chuck as always.

  11. Fuck Romney and his bull shit. We are done with the establishment and all need to move support to Gary Johnson; the GOP needs to be taught a lesson after this betrayal.

This Chikotay thinks its about time the Ron Paul people got bullied around. Don't expect to have the red carpet rolled out for you if you support a 3rd tier candidate. What next, John Huntsman's delegates are gonna bitch because they didn't get front row seats? Get real. You guys lost.

  13. "the GOP needs to be taught a lesson after this betrayal."

Like 4 more years of Obama? You fucking Ron Paul people are nuts.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Ron Paul supporters, when all is said and done, are basically part of the assholes rising cult.

  15. How about a Paul, Nader. Perot ticket?
    Why ruin three elections?

  16. Romney and his "bullshit" is OUR only salvation against this monster that currently occupies the White House. You dumb sons-of-bitches that think voting for someone other than the GOP candidate will do any good, are FUCKING CRAZY! Are you just too stupid to get it??? A vote for anyone other than Romney, guaran-fucking-tees Obama another four years. Our wonderful country can't stand another four, we've barely made it through this.

  17. The biggest threat to a Republican victory in the fall are not the crooked crony capitalist RINOs but the Ideological Virgins who feel that Romney/Ryan are not conservative enough and want to do nothing to help their candidates. Wingnuts like Michael Savage, Joe Farah and Mark Levin immediately come to mind as Ideological Virgins who want to quit and take their football home. Do these morons want to be responsible for four more years of Comrade Berry? Come on guys, remove your heads from your asses and realize that compared to Obama, Romney is Barry Goldwater; Hell, he is Robert Taft compared to Obama. As for the Libertarians who are Ideological Virgins, compared to Obama, Romney is Ron Paul, Hell, he is Ayn Rand compared to Obama.

  18. At the end of the day, Earl Butz knew what the voting public wanted: a tight pussy, loose shoes and a warm place to shit. But watch... Romney will fuck that up every bit as much as Obama has.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Look at the record for the past three and half years. Nobody could fuck it up as badly and quickly as has Obama. It's as though he truly has worked at it. While I don't subscribe to the conspiracy theories and other bullshit, it IS apparent that Obama's agenda is diametrically opposed to most Americans and it's going to take years (if it's still possible) to clean up the mess he has created. Mean while, the rest of the world is watching our military strength being eroded more and more each day. When, just when will some foreign power decide to "try us"?? Not long, I'm afraid.
