KANSAS CITY HAD A HISTORICALLY LOW VOTER TURNOUT FOR THE TAX ELECTION THAT WAS ONLY STEALTHILY SUPPORTED BY THE LOCAL ELITE!!!
NOBODY VOTED IN KANSAS CITY and in large part I blame that Mayor and City Council who have been mostly unaccountable to anyone but special interests.
Obviously, the Mayor is entitled to gloat and post photos of happy rainbows (seriously, check the link I'm not kidding) . . . BUT HE IS MANUFACTURING A MANDATE rather than dealing with the fact that his leadership is part of the reason why people have given up on Democracy.

And then consider how many people that local political groups drove to the polls.

DeleteIts easier to move out of KCMO than to fight political scum every year over taxes. Tens of thousands of people who work for a living have done just that, leaving behind those who work for the city or don't work at all. (or sometimes both)
