TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! MORE KANSAS CITY RED LIGHT CAMERAS COMING SOON!!!

Surveillance rules this Kansas City Summer . . .

Last month we reported more Kansas City Red Light Cameras on the way.

This afternoon The Star filed their report . . .

"The city had asked ATS, the red-light camera vendor, to analyze 11 potential new locations for red-light cameras. They were: 39th and Broadway, 47th and Paseo, 31st and Gillham, Grand Boulevard and Truman Road, Hardesty and Truman, I-70 at the Blue Ridge Cutoff, Route 152 and North Church, 31st and Broadway, 87th and Blue River, Truman and Oak, and Barry Road and Prairie View."

Characterizing this as a "move" is clever . . . But not accurate . . . They're talking about MORE CAMERAS!!!

Meanwhile, the petition against the cameras is underway and the Red Light Camera Fight could get even more interesting this Summer.

DEVELOPING . . .

  1. The good news is that Tracy Ward will be running between them all protesting and might lose a bit of that giant fat ass of hers.

  4. One thing I think gets much less attention than it deserves - how local cities (specifically Lenexa) can use their non-red light traffic cameras at their intersections to get "hits" on stolen license plates. I'm actually kind of wondering if Lenexa has their cameras set to scan every plate that goes through each intersection against a centralized database automatically. Now that's something I kind of wonder if it's a bit over the line. It's used for a "good" use right now, but that much profiling can't be good.

Don't believe me? Get ScannerRadio for Android or just go to RadioReference.com and listen to the stream a few days - you'll hear about it in the mid morning to afternoon hours.
