Long ago Kansas City was once known for beautiful tree-lined boulevards that invited residents and guests to explore our vast array of neighborhoods and community gathering places.
Now, Kansas City is soon to become a forest of surveillance cameras.
To wit . . .
GET READY FOR MORE KANSAS CITY SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS TO KEEP WATCH OVER BOTH INNOCENT AND GUILTY RESIDENTS ALIKE!!!
In Great Britain these cameras are a fact of life. What's worse is that they haven't help reduce crime . . .
One of my favorite articles from The Telegraph . . . CCTV cameras: If they do not stop crime or catch criminals, what are they for?
Hint . . .
THE NEW HOTNESS IN ENGLAND IS FOR DRUG ADDICTS TO LOOT COPPER FROM SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS!!! SO IT LOOKS LIKE KANSAS CITY METH ADDICTS MIGHT ACQUIRE A NEW TARGET OTHER THAN CHURCH A/C UNITS!!!
As usual, residents won't really have a say in this and the new tech will be touted but won't substitute for community interaction. Meanwhile, so many news toys and local government projects haven't really improved the quality of life in Kansas City.
DEVELOPING . . .
Will these cameras watch white people too?
ReplyDeletewhat is "cooper"? do these cameras contain cooper?
ReplyDeletewho is cooper? is he a little man inside the camera?
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to install one of these cameras on a helmet that Kyle could wear? That would probably help prevent some problems for everyone.
ReplyDeleteNo. Cameras will not watch white people. The cameras are racially focused to one area of town. Despite having a Black Police Chief there's a huge distrust among African Americans and they feel the police should be watching their every move. It's a stigma; not reality that causes this kind of policing. It's called self hatred. Black people are self-destructive and just look at this towns Mayor, Black Council, Black Leaders, Sports figures, entertainers and Businessmen. They are all self-destructive. The leadership reflects the dysfuction in the community.
ReplyDeleteThe more cameras the better.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it will stop this type of violence.

Put cameras on the street light in front of my house and point it at the house across the street from me. Keep an eye on that wanna be thug and his friends. They do nothing all day except sit on their porch or wander around the neighborhood. I don't know where they get the money for their booze or cigarettes having no jobs.
ReplyDeleteFunny fact tkc - cameras will catch more whites committing misdemeanors!
ReplyDeleteU should be all for it.
Will we be able to use them to see the boobies on the statue at the Overland Park Arboretum?
ReplyDeleteI am against more cameras because they will only encourage sexting.
ReplyDeleteChuck is WRONG on this one! Chuck look up what Ben Franklin had to say about giving up LIBERTY. This smacks of 1984. Random check points for DLs, DWI. The TSA. All the other ARMED alphabet fed agencies. Militarized PDs. All add up to a very disturbing trend.
ReplyDelete10:18
ReplyDeleteYou make a good point.
I am just trying to weigh out the crime v liberty thing like everyone else I guess.
Kansas City, what a fucking joke !!
ReplyDelete10:18 & 11:22 WOW!!! That was nearly a civil discussion while initially disagreeing. Everyone must be taking their medicine today.
ReplyDeleteKeep it up.
Who is this chuck guy? I like the cut of his jib!
ReplyDeleteKansas City has become a police state.
ReplyDeleteGuess maybe it's a Viet Nam Vet thing. That Chuck and I can have a civil discussion. Besides, this is the ONLY time I can recall disagreeing with Chuck.
ReplyDeleteSee, I'm not so Dinky Dau!
ReplyDeletePoint one toward teh CAN center. Illegals coming in and out all day.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it just amazing how Kansas City always comes up with money for everything except what the taxpayers really want? I'm sure glad big brother knows best.
