Not exactly inspiring and I'm pretty sure this is the exact opposite of leadership . . .
Still, what's important to note is that when things get heated Mayor Sly snaps, cuts the conversation short and retreats to the Internets . . . Very much like tween and not at all living up to image cultivated by his acolytes.

I think the mayor's response was adequate. Mine would have been something along the lines of the question does not deserve a response.
ReplyDeleteI think Chris Hernandez usually does a good job, but could his family, including siblings, cousins, etc. stand up to this kind of scrutiny?
Instead of yelling for Gary Amble to do something about his sister's obvious mental issues people generally supported and sympathized with him. Why not do the same with Sly?
Why didn't Sly at least acknowledge there is a problem? Even if he knows this family to be spattered with idiots and thugs, he could have said that this was one reason that he separated from the nest of vipers and that he stood ready to get them in touch with mental health services? Instead, he tried to deny their existence. Really dumb move on both the public relations and human levels.

Hey, at all you people who are saying you can't control you family. I just want to point out something. I can safely say that no one in my family has ever "pistol whipped" anyone. They have never shot up anyone elses car. Also, no one in my family is a mayor so maybe that makes it okay.
