After a 41 Action News investigation into the process surrounding a lucrative Kansas City Public Schools construction contract, the Missouri State Auditor will take a closer look. Meantime, the District has also initiated its own internal audit of the process.
Intensely suspicious, but not in any way out of the ordinary for the way KCPS conducts its affairs.
ReplyDeleteJust another reason to dissolve this fiasco and get some serious management for the many millions of dollars that are spent every year.
And most importantly of all, let's please think about the next generation of young people. We've already lost thousands while a handful of insiders did really well for themselves and their friends.
Some folks will be fired for this and even more should be.

ReplyDeleteTearing it apart is not the only solution and not even possible with the current morons we have in the legislatue. Instead of putting the final nail in the coffin of the KCPS, they are arguing about vouchers and teacher tenure.
ReplyDeleteThe state taking over now is a much more viable option. Once the state moves in, the district can be much more easily dismantled. People should wake up and try to understand what needs to be done. The number one thing that must be done is to avoid any court battles which will keep any action from taking place. The state take over is something that can and should be accomplished first.
It appears that the present school board cleaned up this mess from past boards.
