Let's take a trip back in time when Kansas City's embattled Bishop Finn was a bit more high and mighty . . . Take a look at this important passage:

Finn is an ass. Catholics need not "give up" their own right to free thought and free will.
To Hell with the "Church Hierarchy". Jesus is quoted as saying "the Church" is simply the people gathered in his name. It is NOT a (literally self-appointed) "Church Hierarchy", which by the way did not exist during the time of Christ.

ReplyDeleteNo, they do not send their kids to expensive Catholic Schools because they hope most Blacks cannot afford to send their kids there. It is ALL about the education they receive.
Finn does not represent the thoughts of all Catholics, or probably even most, though he probably wishes for that kind of power. He is free to make his own statements, right? Educated flocks/congregations and religious people make up their own minds about politics and issues.
