A single spammer that knows TKC personally has set upon this blog in the comments.
TKC has endured blog spam before but it's always been from somebody who was trying to sell something . . . Penis pills or a political candidate . . . This time it was personal.
Kinda freaky but I had to cut off contact with the dude who is nice enough in person but behind the computer screen he's scary, strange, violently sexual (in a bad way) and just plain creepy . . . So, he was way to much like TKC but without any good jokes.
SO . . . FOR THE MOMENT THE FUTURE OF THE TKC COMMENTS IS MODERATION ONLY TO FILTER SPAM!!!
I'm tempted to just make this thing a free for all but what's great about this blog is that so many smart people share their thoughts . . .
To wit . . .
I JUST WANT TO NOTE THAT TKC IS STILL DEDICATED TO FREE SPEECH ON THE INTERNETS AND THIS MOVE TO FILTER COMMENT SPAM ISN'T TO PROTECT PEOPLE FROM ATTACKING ME BUT SIMPLY TO MAKE SURE THAT FOLKS WHO HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ARE ABLE TO EXPRESS IT WITHOUT ONE PERSON MONOPOLIZING THE FORUM!!!
There's a draw back . . . The immediacy of the conversation will be gone. And for that we can only blame the fact that I don't have the money to go buy a decent commenting system instead of blogger's free solution.
STILL I THINK THE FREE SPEECH PROTECTION THAT ANONYMITY PROVIDES IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN IMMEDIACY!!! SO TKC IS STILL A PLACE WHERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO LOG IN TO LEAVE A COMMENT . . . IT'LL JUST TAKE A LITTLE BIT LONGER FOR YOUR DEEP THOUGHTS TO SHOW UP!!!
The alternative is a "place" that is just too cluttered to do anybody any good . . .
Other than the obvious drawbacks, there are some benefits as well . . .

I'm approving any and all non-repetitive bad stuff about myself . . . Rag all you want . . . Simply disagreeing with TKC IS NOT cause for your comment not making the cut.
I really hope that TKC = Sad Clown guy sticks around . . . He's actually very insightful.

Like everything on the Internet and in real life, nothing is permanent . . . However, I think this is part of an effort to class things up around here just a tiny bit and hopefully TKC readers can come along for the ride . . .
If not, it's not like I'm really losing money on this thing . . . Also, in the grand scheme of things . . . C'mon, it's a blog . . . So there's nothing THAT important going on here.

Oh 7:30, firefighters have that much time on their hands and more. But they like playing XBox 360, too, so they aren't always free to comment.
