They say that an essential element of white privilege is the ability to threaten without consequence. In that spirit, let's not forget that in April, Author/blogger Tim Wise wrote an eloquent post entitled: "Imagine if the Tea Party Was Black"
The post was picked up across the nation and the nation's newsies seemed to find the line of reasoning captivating.
The "money" passage:
"Imagine a black radio talk show host gleefully predicting a revolution by people of color if the government continues to be dominated by the rich white men who have been 'destroying' the country, or if said radio personality were to call Christians or Jews non-humans, or say that when it came to conservatives, the best solution would be to 'hang 'em high.' ... After all, those are among the things said by radio host and best-selling author Michael Savage ... "
Well, these sentiments have finally hit the world of hip-hop as Missouri's most widely read blogger and a writer of national significance Byron Crawford recently posted a rap vid by Jasiri X asking "What if the Tea Party were Black?"
Sadly, the track is not exactly my thing because there aren't any booty shaking rap video babes which make hip-hop music so much better . . . But it's an interesting thought nonetheless.

ReplyDeleteIt was a good video. I would be really happy to see black people worry about the bloated size of our government. I would love to hear Jackson, Sharpton, et al. on the radio for three hours a day trying to explain why we need a balance budget. If the black panthers were actually protecting their neighborhoods, I wouldn't have any problems with them carrying guns.

The tea party is just the latest example of a group of people who confuse shouting and carrying signs with actually doing the hard work of making things better for everyone in this country. We certainly don't need to replicate the same silliness with every ethnic and interest group in the country. Oh wait; I think we already have.

She was then "hog-tied," with curtains and strips of bedding, her face covered tightly with a small trash bag and her body stashed inside five large trash bags before being placed inside a large trash can and covered with sheets. Imagine all the best of American intentions, social programs, money, social engineering going right down the tubes.
Yet the American news media do not want to talk about the Dirty War, the war on white people by black people based on skin color. Now that is racism my ffriends. This remains between the lines and unreported. In fact, to even suggest that the war exists is to be discredited. So let's start suggesting, immediately.
For the past 45 years a large segment of black America has waged a war of violent retribution against white America.
And the problem is getting worse, not better. In the past 20 years, violent crime has increased more than four times faster than the population.
Nearly all the following figures, which speak for themselves, have not been reported in America:
• According to the latest US Department of Justice survey of crime victims, more than 6.6 million violent crimes (murder, rape, assault and robbery) are committed in the US each year, of which about 20 per cent, or 1.3 million, are inter-racial crimes.
• Most victims of race crime—about 90 per cent—are white, according to the survey "Highlights from 20 Years of Surveying Crime Victims", published in 1993.
• Almost 1 million white Americans are murdered, robbed, assaulted or raped by black Americans annually.
• Blacks thus committed 7.5 times more violent inter-racial crimes than whites even though the black population is only one-seventh the size of the white population. When these figures are adjusted on a per capita basis, they reveal an extraordinary disparity: blacks are committing more than 50 times the number of violent racial crimes of whites.
• According to the latest annual report on murder by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, most inter-racial murders involve black assailants and white victims, with blacks murdering whites at 18 times the rate that whites murder blacks.
These breathtaking disparities began to emerge in the mid-1960's, when there was a sharp increase in black crime against whites, an upsurge which, not coincidentally, corresponds exactly with the beginning of the modern civil rights movement.
