TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! KCFD CHIEF SMOKEY SOON TO BE NAMED CEO OF MAST!!!

A rather interesting and Kansas Conflict is going to be put in place sometime today according to KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS.

WORD IS: KCFD CHIEF SMOKEY DYER WILL BE NAMED CEO OF MAST REALLY SOON . . . MAYBE TONIGHT!!!

TKC was the first news-ish outlet to break this news awhile back but now it looks like the screwed up maneuver is about to unfold at a meeting tonight. Dyer's role as dual-department-head is COMPLETELY UNPRECEDENTED IN KANSAS CITY HISTORY!!! Also, there's still no answer as to how he's going to negotiate with himself as MAST gets taken apart thanks to a ill-advised City Council move.

A few Local 42 (unquestioning) loyalists falsely note that MAST has already been taken apart so this is a moot point . . . Not exactly. There are a great many details regarding consolidation that are soon to be ironed out and local firefighters might find those interesting as well.

Developing . . .

  2. seems unethical to me. what a legal way to get in and make changes even faster than they had predicted. And how smoothly they think they will go. Employees still work here since we have good jobs for now and good pay/benefits. plus the economy is bad.

  3. Smokey is a decent honorable guy. It's sad to watch as he is led down this wrong path by King Louie and his Loyalists.

  4. He already made a bold move of getting MAST to pay for a consultant to see if the billing dept of MAST is needed. So he has somethings up his sleeve alright and he is also not taking his time on making any changes. He may have been honorable before but NOT now. Sleezy little round man.

  5. One of the sheep posted this on quote on facebook "He, who would give up freedom for security, then neither deserves nor will receive either." -- Ben Franklin
Do the sheep not realize that is EXACTLY what they have done? Everyone cried "security, security with the FD!" Now lets all watch and be shocked when have neither.

  6. Look, it's not all bad. Yes, we will probably lose all ability to work overtime, lose our 401k match, have to pay more in health insurance, be prevented from moving anywhere outside the city limits, and probably take at least another 2 year pay freeze, but that's about all the bad stuff there is.

People, get over it. The times they are a changing. Crying about it isn't the answer. Seriously. What's done is done and the time now is to work to make this as good as it can be. Complaining with no solutions doesn't help at all.

  7. whats done is done? are you some fucking idiot or what?! A few people who thought the grass was greener on the other side and who were fat and or lazy thought they would be doing what they see fire doing alot: sitting on their ass. You who begged for this are seeing now how much it sucks and will never admit how wrong you are. Hope you like it you stupid stupid lazy bastards!

  8. And WHAT exactly is good about it? And I heard King Louie is not even around to see the destruction he causes, he is out of the country conveniently. All of you Louie cronies, bet you won't be on his guest list anymore!

  9. 1:42... Did you ride the short bus to school? Were you forced to wear one of those 'special kid' helmets? "Done is Done"???

How fucking sad is it when the best commentary on the decay of the cities best/only EMS delivery system is "We are getting screwed, but oh well, whats done is done"?

You and the rest of your sheep should move quietly to the meadow and continue to graze, oblivious to your self imposed anal raping. The rest of us can recognize the scent of the bullshit that Farmer Louie is shoveling.

  10. he looks like a assface.

  11. Finally, something worthy of date night in KC politics---the mention of sheep, and, self induced anal raping. . .

  12. 5:55 - haha

Seriously, does anyone really know if this merger of MAST under city control is a good thing or a bad thing? I understand its going to happen and that the employees of MAST are going to wind up getting "anally raped", but what about the taxpayers? With the Anti-ETax initiative gaining steam, doesnt this merger just serve in loading the firefighters union up with the campaign slogans/threats like "Pass the E-Tax or you wont get an ambulance!" or "Grandma will die because you voted to repeal the Etax!"

    ReplyDelete
  13. No, Cheerleader, no one really knows if the merger of MAST and the KCFD is a good thing. Hard numbers and a definitive plan were lacking back in September when the deed was done. Never mind merging the cultures of the two organizations, or the dramas you suggest. (Although it is illegal for firefighters to go out on strike.)

  14. fuck this city, fuck Louie Wright (who should be anal raped himself) and if this is a good idea: maybe we should let every retard with any idea be allowed to have it pass and not ask any questions...after all, how many people buy a house without ever seeing it, knowing the price, knowing their finance or loan agreement and just buying it without question like the spineless city council did with this merger? NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT HEAD OUT OF THEIR ASS MIND IS WHO!!! Also, how is it that union 42 retirees are getting a $250/month increase in pension funds out of this if the politics aren't crooked as hell? Tony, read into this more, I'm sure you'll find it interesting

I just wish the citizens of Kansas City and those with money they are not giving to politicians, would have stepped up to the plate with the Save Mast effort. Not only will Mast employees suffer, so will taxpayers and patients.

Another thing people do not know is, Louie Wright's Local 42 allows members to vote on ratifying MOUs as a "courtesy". If he and the executive board do not want us to vote, they can just pass whatever contract is given, if it benefits them, without allowing us to vote. If we vote the MOU down, they can override our vote.

Oh, and contrary to what some union brothers and sisters have said, I do NOT have a multiple personality disorder! Funny stuff!

    ReplyDelete
  17. It's not called multiple personality disorder anymore. It's called Disassociative Identity Disorder. Just for future reference that is the correct term.

Manic depressive is also not the correct term. It is called Bipolar.

And "anxiety attacks" are part of Panic Disorder which may or may not be related to anxiety.

Thanks for the information, 9:53. You must have read your medical records because there are none of those in mine. I am sure TKC readers are impressed with your knowledge.
