Kansas City's Problems On Hold: Mayor Funky's Phony Political Teleconference!!!
Kansas City's Mayor Funkhouser took his failure to yet another new forum yesterday and the reviews aren't good if e-mails sent to TKC are any indication.
Let's take the complaints one at a time:
LISTENERS WERE QUITE SURE SOME (MOST) OF THE PHONE CALLS WERE SETUPS!!!
It's a time tested Kansas City tactic to fake community support and I wonder why all of Mayor Funky's supporters ound the same (like Siettmann's Lee's Summit friends) from one venue to the next.
THE MAYOR'S POLICY IS NOW NOTHING MORE THAN A COLLECTION OF CATCHPHRASES!!!
"New Tools" doesn't really mean anything, it's just something the Mayor says when the subject of Kansas City's screwed up finances are discussed.
Most importantly . . .
AS CITIZEN SATISFACTION WITH THE 3-1-1 ACTION CENTER HOTLINE HAS GROWN WORSE DURING HIS TENURE, MAYOR FUNKY IS PLAYING TELEPHONE OPERATOR AND DIRECTING PHONY CALLS TO HIS OFFICE WHICH HAS A HORRIBLE RECORD OF ADDRESSING RESIDENT COMPLAINTS!!!
ESSENTIALLY, FUNKHOUSER IS PUTTING THESE PEOPLE ON HOLD FOREVER!!!
It's simple . . . If Mayor Funky can't get the 3-1-1 line to work then this latest "call my office" effort is nothing more than a bit of misdirection. The Mayor is incapable of doing anything but conning old ladies into thinking he cares . . .
THIS DIMWIT MAYORAL STRATEGY IGNORES THE FACT THAT SOONER OR LATER PEOPLE ARE GOING TO WANT STUFF FIXED, NOT JUST TALK AND THEY'RE GOING TO GET EVEN MORE ANGRY!!!
The lame tactic seems like something developed at the library by Gloria Squitiro. What's worse is that all of this misdirection only helps to illustrate that the former City Auditor is not even a mediocre politician anymore . . . Mayor Mark Funkhouser is now nothing more than a charlatan, lame duck, crook who does not deserve to represent Kansas City.

Is it Chief Corwin's brother or cousin who is named in the ethics report on the Funky? Why would someone in the chief of police's family be doing work on Funky's for profit business? Since Funky is on the board that can fire Corwin, it seems to me that there is another conflict of interest there.
