THE LAST DAYS OF SUMMER BRING DEATH TO KANSAS CITY!!!

When Mayor Funkhouser was running for Mayor, TKC accurately noted that he was weak on crime.

Currently, the Mayor's neglect, ineptitude and incompetence is costing people their lives.

Crime Scene KC provides the best, first and most accurate information on the deadly trend:

KCPD's homicide count is high and rising
As of Thursday, the city had logged 19 homicides in August, the first time that has happened since December 1998. And the month is not finished.

This month’s surge has inched the year’s total of 81 past the 79 recorded by the same date in 2005, which was the city’s most violent year for homicides this decade.
It only gets worse given that the recent spate of homicides makes August Kansas City's most deadly month in a decade.

At the beginning of the Summer, everyone knew this would happen. Sadly, the only action Mayor Funky was able to take was a silly press conference that accomplished nothing but an effort (still not signed) to hassle small gun shop owners in a controversial pact with New York Mayor Bloomberg. The Mayor claimed that his lack of progress was to assure that he wasn't acting in a unilateral fashion . . . Yet, he showed to his worthless PR effort with only one council person offering support.

The Mayor's poor reputation and record on crime would be laughable if it didn't result in so many dead bodies on Kansas City streets. This town needs a Mayor who makes fighting crime a real priority and the shameful record of the current administration speaks for itself. When Mayor Funky won the election by a razor this margin, this town lost any hope in making progress in the effort to make city streets safe. In all fairness, there probably wasn't much hope of fighting crime from a Mayor who can't even control his own wife.

  2. Eastside leadership? Do we have any black leadership in this city?

How about those that are going to run for mayor pretending they are black leaders in a couple of years?

    Terry Riley, you out there?

  3. Hey look. It's the Mayor's supportes playing the blame game.

  4. There's plenty of blame to go around:

    1. A pussy mayor
    2. Opportunist eastside leadership
    3. Steady decline in general society
    4. A do-nothing city council
    5. Complacent police department
    6. Gangsta culture
    7. Declining economy
    8. Lead paint

Pick any or all of 'em, and blog away.

  5. I think maybe YOU have been ingesting some lead paint. You need to take a few days off, Tony, and regain your perspective. There are ghetto crimes all over urban America. The funk's only mayor HERE.

No one is going to take you seriously if you don't regain what so often is a good perspective on your part.

That wasn't your most reasonable post, bud.

  6. He can start by giving back his raise and hiring the promised 20 extra policemen.

The raise was undeserved. The policemen needed by a deserving citizenry.

One item to add to your list.

  8. I blame Tony for crime.

That's just about as arbitrary as anything else.

The truth is Tony, we need to look for solutions not places to lay blame.

  9. Anon 8:14.... Gawd you're such a D@#K. The "Blame Game"? Tony pins everything in this city on the Mayor.... and you talk about the blame game? Why don't you go tag you daddy's car... if you knew who he's is. Idiot.

I'm surprised the Mayor has been able to get anything done in this city with a City MisManager, a City Council who are so corrupt it's not funny. Why doesn't Wayne Cauthen give back his unearned salary increase. The city manager put together a budget that basically broke the bank and continues to spend beyond that. No one take Tony "The COCK-a-Roach" seriously because every post has no substance or real content other than slamming the mayor. He even finds a way to include the Mayor's wife. Personally, I think Tony should have charges filed against him for virtually stalking the Mayor and especially his wife.

As for the murders... you act as if the Mayor was committing them himself. Let's blame the crime on the criminals. I can just imagine if the Mayor tried to clean up crime in this city he would be accused of rascism since most of the crimes and murders are committed by blacks.

Do you think if "Puppet" Brooks was in office the crime rate and/or murder rate would be any lower... NO YOU RETARD.

  10. I like how at 19 to 10, Kansas City now has 9 more homicides this month than combat related deaths in all of Iraq for the month of August. I never thought I'd see KC like Fallujah. We might as well get Martial Law going.

  11. Young Americans should not be dying in Iraq nor in Kansas City. I understand the Mayor went courting the East side on Friday morning. Perhaps he should spend time trying to get the police and others to focus on prevention. What is the City council doing about this? Oh, yes, promoting light rail.

  12. Add Jim Kanatzar to the list of reasons things are out of control. What is this lame dick prosecutor doing? He let SERIALS KILLERS WALK. Now, he is giving a pass to the guy who chopped off the head of a little girl! No wonder things are out of whack.

  13. Kansas City....(Big Bass Voice) Is just like Compton......

  14. The criminal's were like "man this mayor's a pussy, let's do mo crime"

And the victim's were like, "Don't kill me, Funkhouser is a pussy, let's not get killed because every law in the book became more lax when funkhouser came to power, because he changes all crime laws, so now murder is legal. Run!"

But they got killed anyway because it's all the mayor's fault. Because killers always pay attention to the mayor before killing somebody.
