Surprisingly, Mayor Funky's 22 year-old daughter Tara still has her myspace page open to the public.
There's nothing really embarrassing on it. The photo featured above simply shows the Funkhouser Klan treating the Mayor's office like it's their over-mortgaged house and the following photo of "Tara Terrific" at the Inauguration is actually kind of nice . . . Like a woman on a date that has yet to go horribly wrong:
Anyhoo . . . I've been asking around and it turns out Tara isn't interning this year at The Mayor's Office.
You might remember last year Tara made a nuisance of herself to not only community leaders but also City Hall veterans who didn't have time for dumb questions about local governance. Tara's crowning achievement was lying to local community leaders about Mayor Funky cleaning up the trash in front of a Kansas City School like he promised during his campaign. . . One year later the mess remains.
Currently, there's a bit of gossip around City Hall regarding Tara's absence:
Anyhoo, this actually seems like progress as far as Kansas City's first family is concerned. Now that Tara is no longer screwing with the schedules of City Hall employees or leaving KC Community leaders frustrated . . . TKC would like to wish her the best whether her journey takes her to the Peace Corps or serving more important causes . . . Like hot wings!!!

Hooters, calls her a tramp in a Christmas letter, says she's "doing it" when she and funk-ee are at work, mentions to a former council member the type of d--- that her daughter likes. All true. All sad. Why doesn't Tara's dad defend her from his wife? (By the way, have a happy father's day, mayor, you bastard.) Luckily Tara is an adult and can break away from the vileness that is her home life. I hope she does.

ReplyDeleteNixon seeks ouster of mayor of Holden for nepotism
Warrensburg, Mo. — Attorney General Jay Nixon has filed a petition in Johnson County Circuit Court seeking the ouster of Holden mayor Michael Wakeman on the grounds that he violated the nepotism provision of the Missouri Constitution by appointing his brother-in-law as fire chief. Wakeman was elected to a four-year term as mayor of Holden in April 2006 and appointed Larry Miller, his brother-in-law, as fire chief that same month.
On July 17, 2007, the Attorney General's Office sent a letter to Wakeman informing him that the appointment violated the nepotism provision of Article VII, Section 6 of the Missouri Constitution, and for that reason he forfeited his office. Wakeman submitted his letter of resignation as mayor of Holden on July 20. On Aug. 18, the city council of Holden selected Wakeman as mayor to fill the unexpired term to which he was elected in 2006. He was subsequently sworn in as mayor on Sept. 11 and currently serves in that position.
Nixon said Missouri case law clearly states that when an official has been ousted, he or she cannot be appointed or elected to the remainder of the term. The Attorney General's petition says Wakeman cannot be appointed or elected as mayor before the current four-year term expires in April 2010, and that a quo warranto petition is the proper proceeding to remove an officeholder for violating the anti-nepotism provision of the Missouri Constitution.
Forfeiture of office is the sole penalty provided for by the anti-nepotism provision of the Missouri Constitution.
