MAMMY-GATE CONTINUES!!! THE CALL VERIFIES REPORTS OF GLORIA SQUITIRO USING THE TERM "MAMMY" TO REFER TO BLACK FEMALE EMPLOYEES!!!
Folks who know anything about KC Proper know one simple thing: THE CALL IS THE PAPER OF RECORD OF KANSAS CITY'S BLACK COMMUNITY. That's why it's very important that a report has surfaced in their paper regarding news of Gloria Squitiro using the term "Mammy" to refer to African-American female employees.
The word is out.
In my opinion, Mayor Funky can't expect any credibility in Kansas City's minority community until he addresses this issue. Bravo to Eric L. Wesson and The Call for having the courage to publish this report.

This is nothing new. It is almost word for word what I have read in other mainstream reports. It reports nothing other than that a complaint has been made.

There are ALSO allegations surfacing surrounding the complaint that one of the top volunteers in the mayor’s office, Ms. Gloria Squitiro, has allegedly called a black female employee, on several occasions, “Mammy”.

Which we knew, since, uh, Tony has been alleging it for weeks, even if Tony is the only person making the allegations. At the very least this blog is almost certainly the source for those allegations. That isn't "confirmation," it's "echo chamber".
