What have we learned?

Sorry for the late posts today kids, blame Miller High Life for making your Uncle Tony sleep in. I never learn from my mistakes but maybe you can take a lesson from local blunders. Like these:

- Citizens before concrete: More comments on Red Bridge Road Story than I ever expected. Alvin Brooks escapes criticism this week but hopefully there will be more in the future. For all the people following the story or posting stuff of their own, please forward to me and I'll link as well.

- The Star doesn't care about Brown people. Louis Diuguid and Steve Penn avoid all discussion of a clear cut example of bigotry . . . Black discrimination . . . Reparations(?) that is.

- Local bloggers and artists have Lance and American Century by the ball. Making fun of multi-million dollar advertising campaigns and thereby making them pointless and trite: Priceless.

- I support Marcus Leach so does TAASU. One of us is doing it because it's the right thing and the other is simply perpetuating and endless cycle of racial animosity and bickering . . . pick'em.

- There are now nearly A BILLION reasons to vote against the Stadium Tax. However, The Star wants you to vote for it but won't really explain why.

- White guys fall hard . . . boy scouts fall harder. Life lesson: Don't put your faith in boxers or politicians.

- Payoffs get harder to make for citizens in this town, unless you're developing real estate.

- Finally, I couldn't find a link for the much contested public art in front of the new Sprint Center but local news has reported that officials have chosen a New York artist (read: better than KC) and a scary video display that features local people flying though the air. Of course, I have an advance copy of what the final product will look like:

Yep, that's right. Thousands in public money and they couldn't come up with a better idea than the cheesy opening scene from Superman II. That's art for ya . . .

As always, have a fun and safe Saturday Night folks. Thank you for reading.

Peace.
