TKC Told You So: EPIC Kansas City Star Layoffs Hit Harder

We talked about this yesterday morning before anybody else locally . . . And now it's news fact . . .

KANSAS CITY STAR CUTS STAFF AMID McCLATCHY LAYOFFS!!! 

Credit to some of our nicer readers who admire David Hudnall's excellent work and realize that a major metropolitan area NEEDS a newspaper . . . But wishes we had a better one.  

Here's a quote from a respected former rival who thankfully hasn't burdened us with a Substack . . . 

Check-it:  

"Hearing  from multiple sources that @KCStar has laid off most of its local government/watchdog reporters as part of a bigger cutback across McClatchy . . . 

"Seven reporters/writers being axed locally. All but one of those being let go are members of the union we started. Contract guarantees severance, but many of them are relatively new hires and will only get maybe four weeks pay."
