We're not afraid of good news here at TKC but this project seems exceptionally fanciful at a time when local hotels have stopped hiring, cut back staff and closed sections of their buildings.
What's worse is that American biz seems to have shifted away from large gatherings and meetups and transitioned to Zoom calls, e-mails and other forms of interactivity.
Still, here's hoping that a few drawings and some hopeful numbers will convince the elite to open their wallets . . .

Country Club Plaza passersby soon will see movement on an approximately $100 million two-hotel project on an L-shaped site that for years has been eyed for a hospitality redevelopment.
holy shit what a waste of money
ReplyDeleteThey'd be better off putting that money in a pile and lighting it on fire.
ReplyDeleteHilarious. Nothing stops the grifters who run this town.
ReplyDeleteIt's something else for the niggers to tear up.
ReplyDeleteKansas City is one crazy, F-Upped City.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shithole !!
OP will do it!
ReplyDeleteHave they turned the old Alameda Plaza into the section 8 yet

ReplyDeleteO.K. so think abut this. There is kickbacks and if it doesn't make it they will stick it to the tax payers. Wow KC you need to drain your swamp it's pretty deep.
Who comes up with these ideas? The Plaza has many hotels as it is, plus many more (including the new Loews) downtown. More hotels is the last thing KC needs.
ReplyDeleteThis won't happen. I live on the Plaza. There a mass exodus leaving Plaza now. There's so many new empty condos its terrifying. Plaza retail shops closing. I just noticed pin stripes is closing. That place has been there forever. With the 10.00 rule rumor has it even more bar restaurants will close. Way to go Q ball. DEMOCRAT.
