Kansas City, Mo. - - Tactical officers from the Kansas City, Mo., Police Department were able to bring a safe ending to an hours-long standoff Saturday morning. The incident began about 9 a.m. when a man came out of a house near East 40th Street and Woodland Avenue.

15-year-old found safe after Amber Alert issued
The 15-year-old reported missing in an Amber Alert has been found safe, say authorities. Kansas City police were able to locate the teen, Brajaean Sledge, who was uninjured and is now talking to detectives. Police are still looking for the 18-year-old Anthony King who is a person of interest in several crimes including the shooting of Brajaean Sledge's grandfather Thursday night.

The Park Place hotel was NEVER a premiere destination considering it was in a former dump site for the city, and it was downwind from Bayer Chemicals and Hawthorne Power Plant to the east. I used to work at Bayer. The caustic chemicals made my eyes water. Some premiere destination.
