PiNK THiNG And Kansas City Music Scene Reported Brilliantly By Shuttlecock Magazine

It's nice to know that the Kansas City underground music scene endures whilst the younger middle-class spend their time coveting and consuming corporate fare.

Accordingly . . .

PiNK THiNG is an alt-punk out of Dallas that might be on the cusp of greatness or oblivion. Fronted by their vexing lead singer, Lauren, who works a dangerous combination of styles reminiscent of Blondie & Patti Smith with even less hope for the future of the United States as the world's last super power -- She could be the next "it" girl of a generation or the main character in a tragic Lifetime movie.

None of this is to say that the band isn't skillful -- The dueling guitars of Sophia and Sean are breathtaking in their artistry backed up by a solid rhythm section provided by Cesar & Matt.

The local angle . . .

This pop-up basement party is shared via Shuttlecock music magazine.

For a couple years Aaron Rhodes has established himself as a young, upstart Kansas City music scene insider.

His interviewing skills have greatly improved and the list of bands working with him is growing impressive in addition to so many start-up bands competing for his attention.

More to the point . . .

ARRON & SHUTTLECOCK MAG ARE THE NEW POWER IN KANSAS CITY MUSIC!!!

Whilst this post runs the risk of ruining the young man because the Star hacks hang on the every word of our blog community . . . Local MSM could taint him in much the same way the daily newspaper has mostly silenced the incisive reporting skill of Steve Vockrodt.

TKC truism . . .

The shadow of Dave Helling is where good local commentary withers & dies.

But I digress . . .

We couldn't wait to give Aaron &  his webiste a shout out for his EXCELLENT local music reporting work.

Our TKC blog community feels like this is going to be the Summer of Aaron and we wish him the best in his publishing journey.

This clip proves his dedication to his craft -- Check PiNK THiNG performing at a somewhat secretive locale and Shuttlecock mag offering an alternative view of local music outside of the KCMO entertainment district pop garbage forwarded around by so many local social media moguls desperately attempting to fight off middle-age.

  4. Whiny white chick and slacker dude music - singing through the nose - unable to tell one group/singer from another without a program. B-O-R-I-N-G.

    Or.....

Rap crap spewing sexist foul lyrics. Even more BORING.
