  5. Hey - as long as the Western Kansas Farmers at willing to pay the entire cost of building and maintaining the canal out of their own pockets, with no Government assistance or tax breaks, why not?

    Anything else, forget it - sell your land for whatever you can get and go get a job as a farmhand in Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri or someplace else where farming is sustainable.
