BREAKING!!! JACKSON COUNTY'S 'MEAN' JEAN PETERS BAKER APPOINTED SPECIAL PROSECUTOR AGAINST EMBATTLED MISSOURI GUV GREITENS!!!

And now the case against the Guv is local . . .

Jackson County’s Jean Peters Baker named special prosecutor in Guv Greitens case

Deets:

As special prosecutor, Baker will review the evidence to decide whether to re-file charges against Greitens based on allegations that he snapped a photograph of a woman, bound and partly nude, without her consent in 2015.

She was appointed Monday by St. Louis Circuit Judge Rex Burlison. In his order, he noted that Baker's office would serve as special prosecutor "with regard to the investigation and possible prosecution of Eric Greitens in alleged criminal activity in regard to an incident on March 21, 2015, and other incidents involving the same victim from that date through September 1, 2015."

What's more interesting is that case could expand to include other misdeeds according to pundits.

Here's the word from "Mean Jean" this afternoon:

A statement from Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker follows:

I was informed today by the Circuit Court in St. Louis, MO., that my office was named as special prosecutor in the Gov. Greitens’ case. I quickly assembled a team of prosecutors and other staff to begin our process to review this matter.

No elected official relishes involvement in such difficult matters as an investigation of criminal wrongdoing by another official, but we also understand our duty.

I directed my staff that we will go about our review of this case as we review any case. It will be thorough and our decisions, as I have stated before, will be made without fear or favor.

We will need to work as quickly as possible. We do not know what the result of the review will be. But let me stress that this review will be based solely on the evidence. Politics, affiliations or other matters beyond the evidence will not play a role.

My office has prosecuted many similar cases and has experienced prosecutors, victim advocates and others who can assist. I will be involved in directing the review. My office will not comment about this case or the review until it has been completed. I ask that everyone respect the privacy of witnesses and victims in this case.

I will not agree to interviews or answer other questions at this time.

  3. Why not a prosecutor from another area and why another dummocrat? The witch hunt continues and more wasted tax dollars

  4. Just political posturing to keep the heat on as the legislature ponders an impeachment trial. There will be no charges and they know it. At this time none of the criminal charges alleged against him has stood up to scrutiny. This is a classic democrat move.

  5. Butthurt sore-loser Democraps STILL pushing scams to remove a duly-elected Republican

  6. ^^Would you still like him if he weren't a piece of shit?

  7. 6:24 nobody likes you and you’re a piece of shit

  8. Jean Petersucker Baker is the worst prosecutor ever. She will be so busy with this, she can dismiss a bunch of murder cases, which she likes to do anyway.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Jean Petersucker Baker may be a terrible prosecutor and definitely lacks the skills for her job, but she is ethical and will not resort to dirty tricks like the colored lying prosecutor in St Louis County,

  10. She is the Probation Queen.

  11. Jean Petersucker Baker will be fair and like she said, her review will be based on the evidence, of which there is none.

  12. Is that really her name?

  15. Look for a possible dual prosecution with maybe the FBI involvement. (See CNN story)
An incredible change for the worse- the seriousness of new investigations can not be overstated.
Now that state funding will soon be dry for Greitens for “defending the Gov” look for dark money to dry up and support to scatter as subpoenas come from all ways. The FBI should have a good grasp of Confide and that should make every supporter weak in the knees and running to cover tracks.
No Missouri lawmakers worth a damn will support Gretens in a matter of weeks. Charges no one saw coming a month ago are possible.
Whether you think he is still a Democrat or not- and is out to hurt Republicans as a mole- it’s clear to some that Greitens is way over his head and not able to tread water much longer.
Great journalism coming no matter which side you are on. Hoping Greitens continues to fight as Missouri has NEVER seen a comical clown like Greitens before and no doubt most feel any book written about him now will surely be in the humor section.

  16. Greitens has nothing to worry about, based on the way she screwed up the "special Prosecutor" job in Maryville when the politically-connected grandson of a former State Senator got a 14-year old drunk and raped her!

She had five witnesses and a video of the act, plus a confession from the perpetrator, and she declared "there wasn't enough evidence to prosecute" - look for the same statement in a week!

    ReplyDelete
  17. This will help her political career. She has plans for the future and you can bet she is looking for bigger and better things.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Innocent until PROVEN guilty of something. That's the way it works and I haven't seen anything yet that says he is guilty of anything. Show me!!!

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hey, you Republicans should be happy.

Now Grietens will definitely walk! Just like all of the other Jackson County criminals.

  20. GI Gov is a typical powerful man. Doesn't matter if he's Dem or Repub. He's got the power to make women do what he wants. If they don't press charges right away, then they are complicit. What he did was scummy, but not a surprise. Powerful people have always done this crap, and they will continue to jerk people around. He's the Gov, and nobody tells him what to do.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Her plate is full, get a smaller county prosecutor to pick up this waste of time witch hunt.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Life long D here, there will be no charges. Jean is too smart to get entangled in this BS.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Look for FBI charges by month’s end or shortly there after.
Make no mistake- the lying and cover up are nothing compared to what’s coming from the Feds.
    This is worse than Watergate.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Charges against the prosecutor for sure

    ReplyDelete
  25. FBI isn't going to do shit.

They're as corrupt as that witch Gardner is.

Only jackasses like Tracy and Byron believe what CNN shoves out to the public.

But 9:13 and 10:54 are just liars so ignore what the trolls say. CNN is as well once again stretching the truth. Two state Republican lawmakers told CNN they were contacted and interviewed in recent weeks by FBI agents, who asked whether they were aware of any threats and bribes made on behalf of the governor regarding an impeachment vote.
One of the lawmakers, who met with an agent in Jefferson City, said they told the FBI they were not directly aware of any such incidents. The second lawmaker declined to discuss their responses to FBI questioning.
