Here's about 800 words wasted on a mostly forgotten statue along with some cut & paste fun facts that should enrage reactionaries whilst more savvy media denizens watch newspapers write their own obituary with a glorified Facebook post offering little insight and/or analysis and really just trolling readers who might disagree with political talking point pablum. You decide:
John Brown's defaced statue is wrapped in a body bag. So is our hope for justice
I just wanted to see him. I needed to put my eyes on the statue of John Brown, the abolitionist who fought and killed in an attempt to abolish slavery. I wanted to see if anyone had scrubbed away the swastika on his forehead and the words "Hail Satan" on his beard, scrawled by vandals over the weekend.
Before Hoopz's comments, I would have bet the vandalism was a hoax. But now, I'm sure of it. Because whatever Hoopz believes is nearly always wrong.

ReplyDeleteJohn Brown was a psychopath who believed he was chosen by God to erase slavery after failing everything else in life. He chopped people up with broadswords along with his murderous family and managed to drag the whole country a little bit further toward the bloodiest war in our history.

I was very happy to be reminded that John Brown was hanged like a criminal should be. Do we know who vadalized his worthless statue? Probably some hood rats trying to stir up some drama, and HoopZ fell for it.

Here’s a brilliant idea, be the first sjw “journalist” to start covering the downfall and embarrassment of the previous criminal administration.
