Notes on the Waldo/Brookside maze of construction, traffic accidents and biz killing mayhem caused by horrible KCMO planning along one of the most visually blighted stretches of road from here to New Jersey . . . Read more:
Even more construction to come for Wornall Road
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - People who drive on Wornall Road say they are constantly dodging pot holes and construction cones. "It is crazy. I understand the needs for infrastructure are there and they need to put in good, solid upgrades but the construction is crazy, constant cutting in and out, accidents...
Last summer, the Director of KC Water Dept said that they finally figured out it is cheaper & much better to install new lines NOT under the street but just outside of them. DUH! Havent seen it happen yet. Why are they still doing it the way that causes the most disruption?
ReplyDeleteIt's the KC Water Department. Do you really have to ask?
ReplyDeleteThe Wornall projects are really annoying--especially since they just repaved it a couple of years ago.
ReplyDeleteOak between Meyer and Gregory is also a trip--with cutouts in the road that lay there unmarked just waiting to do a job on your tires and alignment.
Wornall without any street/water repairs has always been a pain to travel from, 43rd to 89th ever since I started driving it in 1969. From the Plaza to 85th it's a freaking nightmare except in the very early morning hours. It's one of those streets you avoid unless you have to go to something that's located on it. Trying to do anything positive in making it better would just about ruin any business along it. It's just one of those you can't win no matter what roads.
ReplyDeleteJesus Christ, I knew you were nothing but a pants-shitting geezer!

ReplyDeleteyou know this is how they repair streets.
right?
The street was repaired recently. Then it was torn up by Spire.
ReplyDeleteWhat a waste.
They're getting ready for all the developers who will want cheap properties on Wornall Road for their $1500/month apartments when they run the streetcar on Wornall.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a weekly report of things that are not addressed that are glaring. Let's start with the building just to the North of Michael's downtown near 19th and Main. Pigeon crap, trash, graffiti paint, all right on the showcase conduit. It has been this way for a year, why don't Sly and Troy actually walk downtown and see where things like this go chronically unaddressed.
ReplyDeleteEvery week have 2-3 until these guys get on it.
Wornall Rd. is the new Troost.
ReplyDeleteSorry troost is worst full of negros
DeleteYeah, 12:31, seems Killa Shitty is very selective on where that bigly touted "MOMENTUM" is applied, huh?
ReplyDeleteGood idea ya got there, to call attention to the blatant neglect in hopes of remedies. But, that part about Tiny and Whiney (uh, they're interchangeable) actually waddling around downtown is prolly asking for too much. Oh, wait! A $20.kiddie book shows how one of the two has a magic BowTie that can easily whisk him, like Tinkerbell, right over there.
Englewood and North Brighton north of the river?
ReplyDeleteTook them 20 years to finally get them done.
Quit yer bitchin'.
Yeah just close the damn road for good, why bother fixing stuff when you can shit your pants over it instead.
ReplyDeleteYea, and take away the computers from the geezers, so we are subjected to shitty posts like all of this crap! Mighty night geezers...storms’s a’ comin’. Hopefully, we’ll lose half of you in the night! Fingers crossed!!!!!!
Delete^^^^^^^Nice display of stupidity!
ReplyDelete6:48 & 7:20 are illiterate buttboiz who gobble each other's goop and lick each other's poopers in the BathHouse stalls no matter what the weather.
ReplyDelete^^^^Blah blah blah. marble-mouth, mumbling prick. What the fuck are you even saying? Take your meds and take a nap gramps!
ReplyDelete^^^^ blah blah blah. Your still a loser!
ReplyDeleteThe only good streets in this whole city are downtown, imagine that, sLIE takes care of his downtown but nothing else
ReplyDeleteI went down to 10th and Askew to score some opiods this morning and downtown roads were slick,as well!
ReplyDeleteWornall Road has been a pot hole farm since the 1970s.
