On Monday we shared KICK-ASS TKC INSIDER INFO on behind the scenes City Council doubts regarding the Edgemoor MOU.
Today, once again, our blogging is now news fact . . .
Take a look:
INCREASING SKEPTICISM OF THE EDGEMOOR MOU INSPIRES COUNCIL DUDE SCOTT WAGNER TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST THE DEAL!!!
This is a rare move for council to offer open criticism of a deal in the works and confirms, just as we predicted, that Edgemoor is out of favor @ 12th & Oak despite their MBE/WBE gambit.
Checkit:
KSHB: KC councilman questions if Edgemoor is right for KCI
Deets:
"But Kansas City Councilman Scott Wagner is concerned it might not be the right fit after researching the company's airport project in Seattle. Edgemoor executives said items were added to the Seattle project which caused extra time and cost more money."
Here's more insider chatter on the deal in question . . .
"The story I've heard was actually much worse. Supposedly promised hundreds of millions in saving which never materialized. Now they are $100-million over the original budget and still have not provided a final guaranteed maximum price. Also heard they were over a year behind schedule."
Developing . . .
I think in many ways but public just wants it done. I don't see people clamouring in the street for edgemoor, just a lot of voters who want the construction to begin.
ReplyDeleteIf the company can't deliver, then it's time to move on.
^^^ Absolutely!
DeleteLet's keep the momentum going. We can't afford delays and we need to give the people what they voted for. Kansas City is a world class city and deserves a new state of the art airport. That's the most important goal, that's what we need to achieve!
Serously, Go4Kc, does Sly have his hand up your but when you make these ridiculous claims or is the pay so good as a consultant that you do it all on your own. Really embarrassing.
DeleteSly touts the city open for business and they can't even handle getting this done....looks really great on how the city operates with inept politicians
ReplyDeleteSo we can look forward to an injunction and more court delays because of this bidding process.
ReplyDeleteTHANKS Scott!
GO4KC Must be getting a huge chunk of this pie. What a cheerleader. Obviously never traveled, KCMO will never be a world class city
ReplyDeletedo dilengence requires city staff to do research on seattle and other projects, this should have been disclosed earlier , thanks Scott
ReplyDeleteTwo words, Butler Buildings.
ReplyDeleteB & McD did councilman's research.
ReplyDeleteCancel the deal, they don't know what they're doing. Now it seems VERY obvious. The only thing they know is how to make payoffs and run a very suspicious bid.
ReplyDeleteNobody outside of Killa Shitty gives a damn about Killa Shitty.
ReplyDeleteWagner is bought and paid for by Burns & Mac, as corrupt as they come. Keep pandering to those Jo Co thieves and kiss you mayoral ambitions goodbye!
ReplyDeleteAirport deal is rigged. Trash it and just renovate the current airport instead!
DeleteExactly. Start with terminal A. Total rebuild. Move B or C tenant in. Let them bid on it. Go to that empty terminal, rebuild. Then again. I'm sure construction logistics can be worked out . Build what ever the heavies (UPS,FED EX, Whatever needs).
ReplyDeleteThat is a world class project for somebody!
Give me 600,000,000 and I could do it.
We have a huge TWA hanger that we own at the airport. Wait, didn't Obama give that away. GONE
ReplyDeleteYep. He gave it to a solar company. Promised jobs. How did that work out
ReplyDeleteAnybody that really travels knows that MCI is the best ever crossing the money lands, nobody is shopping.
ReplyDeleteWhen the airport passes today the two Scott’s will be finished. The voters supported this by 75 percent. Burns and a few labor leaders have tainted this vote. Those that actually live in Kansas City should hold those no votes accountable. We voted, do your jobs.
ReplyDeleteLets bet the mayors and city councils pensions and health care on the deal. Are they that sure of it?
