TKC MUST READ!!! KCPD CHIEF PLEADS FOR PUBLIC PARTNERSHIP TO PREVENT DEADLY SCHOOL MASS SHOOTINGS!!!

THIS afternoon a local law enforcement leader provides a sign of the times, public notice and good info on what authorities are doing to address a growing threat targeting youngsters across the nation.

Take a look:

KCPD Chief's Blog: With your help, we can work to prevent mass shootings

Money line:

"Just this past week, Kansas City Missouri Police have investigated two school shooting threats. Both times, we tracked down the originators of the threats and interviewed them. Because of the unfortunate choices they made, the juveniles who made these threats may face consequences.

"Like this past week, there have been many times that KCPD has received information about a possible mass-shooting threat. This usually comes in the form of a call to our department or a call for service to a location where someone is concerned about the mental state of another person. Many times, officers check into the concern and find it doesn’t pose a danger. No one has made a threat or taken any actions or made any plans to harm to others. But if there is more information, such as photos, social media posts, text messages or something else that adds to the concern, our patrol officers then contact detectives to conduct more research and investigation in an attempt to determine the level of threat. Once law enforcement personnel feel - and yes, sometimes it comes down to good police instinct - that there is a possible danger, many different police elements may get involved. Our Law Enforcement Resource Center, Crisis Intervention Team officers, and detectives from different units all will work together to investigate. This will include interviewing friends and family of the concerned person as well as making contact with that individual to determine their state of mind and capabilities.

"Even though it is impossible to prove a mass shooting didn’t happen, I do know that KCPD has come across individuals who were in a bad state and were capable of carrying out an attack. Many thanks go out to the family members, friends and even co-workers who have stepped up and reported the concerns they have had. Just one call or comment to an officer or detective can make all the difference. It can stop mass shootings and save lives. Without that partnership, KCPD will not be effective - not just in preventing mass-casualty events but in pretty much every other facet of public safety."

  1. Good on the Chief for the message. Wish some of the suburban chiefs would do the same since it's mostly suburban schools that have faced this threat so far.

  3. This guy seems to get it. Looks like he is working hard and we have seen more cars in our Valentine area. The police can always use more resources fighting crime. We never had the past chief at a single meeting, but I've seen Smith at several in the last couple of months.

  6. Liberal anti-gun faggots are pussies incapable of defending themselves or their families. They resent anyone who isn’t a pussy like they are.

  7. The police who were at the Florida were chickenshit cuntholes. You can’t count on the police to save your kids. So basically fuck the police, they are worthless and not worth the money we spend on their useless chickenshit asses.

    1. Wrong. Most of us DREAM of some dumbass fucking up in the right manner so we can light him/her up instead of just shooting up targets.

Let me guess . . . You're one of those shitstains that walks around complaining that the Cops are gun-happy.

      Stay tuned . . .

    2. Wrong. I wish the cops would shoot lots more criminals than the 5 they shot in all of 2017. Only 5?

  9. Have guards in schools, you fools.

Courthouse, Judges, Banks...they all have guards.

But it needs to be a guard who is not a fucking coward.

Until that happens, it is clear that the police WILL NOT protect you.

    You have to protect yourself.

    I am going to.

Yeah, well trained, armed popos at ALL schools is sensible. Former first ladies, HotAir Hilly and MegaMouth Moochelle, are supportive tweeting and talking up the gun control demands coming from the Florida students.

So, just like those two have their highly skilled, armed security 24/7, because they want to be protected from baddies with guns...don't kids deserve the same...huh?

  13. We are once again witnessing a tsunami of emotions blinding people to the truth. All good people want to save innocent lives and are genuinely dedicated to do everything conceivable to do so.
We hear ravings of “we must do something!”
If the child is drowning in the river we could toss him a cinder block. That would qualify as something but clearly not the right something.
We must face the facts and do many right things, but never any wrong things. The first step would be to be honest in the conversation.
FACT1- An AR15 is not an “assault weapon”. We send our US Military heroes into battle with assault weapons and we would never hinder them with a semi-autoloading rifle.
FACT2-An AR15 .223/5.56 rifle is not a “high-powered” weapon. The .223 round is so inadequate in ballistic capability as to be outlawed for deer hunting in most states. A standard 12-gauge shotgun loaded with #4 buck in every one of these mass shootings in confined quarters where NO RESISTANCE is met would be far more deadly and devastating than any AR15 rifle.
FACT3-High capacity magazines play no tactical role whatsoever when the shooter can casually reload at will when no one fights back. A standard 12-gauge shotgun would again be vastly more deadly.
FACT4-When local law enforcement is called to the shooters home 36+ times for alerts of violent and threatening behavior, then the FBI is alerted on 3 different occasions of threats to shoot up the school, and these professionals in charge of law and order fail completely to adequately investigate such threats, the “see something say something” manta becomes a joke.
After studying all these horrific slaughters, every one of these monsters gave repeated warnings over and over again and again to family, neighbors, fellow students, faculty and others that fell on deaf ears with no commonsense preventative action taken. VA Tech, Columbine, Aurora CO, Sandy Hook, San Bernadino, Orlando, Florida, all of them.
FACT5- If Eugene Stoner had never invented the Armalite Rifle (AR) way back in the 1950s, I am certain that these evil murderers would have not opted out of their evil ways just because that particular weapon was not around. Again, they would have and could have perpetrated their demonic slaughter with weapons more deadly and available, like any old standard shotgun.
