TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! CITY HALL DEMANDS KANSAS CITY TAXPAYERS SUBSIDIZE MORE DOWNTOWN LUXURY APARTMENTS!!!

We talked about this luxury life City Council move in December and now it's developer hype fact . . .

The 300-unit Three Light tower is planned for the northeast corner of Truman Road and Main Street. The site is currently a parking lot and located along the streetcar route.

Nick Benjamin, executive director for the Cordish-owned Power & Light District, said if the City Council approves, construction is expected to begin on the $130 million project late this year with completion anticipated in early 2021.

The plan is scheduled for a hearing by the Council Economic Development Committee Jan. 17.

City Manager Schulte said the city is obligated under its 2004 master development agreement with Cordish to build the parking garage for Three Light, estimated cost $17.5 million.

And so, amid rising crime and a increasing infrastructure demands that City Hall is slow to answer . . . The rapid pace of luxury development for the richest residents in KCMO continue in 2018.

Developing . . .

  4. I have been debating moving from Leawood to downtown. The only problem with it, the sluts downtown are flat out skanky compared to all the married 30-ish Leawood housewives I am fucking. If they put in more luxury housing downtown, I am hopefull the quality of sluts downtown will improve.

    1. If you go downtown only on weekends, then yes you are correct, it is full of skanky whores. Visit downtown during a weekday and you will find a higher quality of slut.

  5. So KCMO will pay for a parking garage for luxury apartment dwelling hipsters but won't build one for tax paying business in the River Market. KCMP claims they want companies to be in KCMO but make it impossible to do business there.

  6. So there is an agreement from 2004, binding the city.

But didn't Cordish also sign that agreement, and didn't they promise to pay their rent??? KCMO is subsidizing Cordish $15 million or so per year for their existing properties.

Just say no to them. No more candy till you eat your veggies...that's how we did it in Iowa...a State of Minds...

What a bunch of pussies at KCMO.

    1. Try not to use vulgar terms like pussies. There is a lady that was trying to get someone kicked off here, only a few days ago.

  7. How about lowering the water costs? Our water bill used to be $45.00 for two months. Now it’s $105.00 per month. Why?

  8. 2:51 you must not read your water bill because the water portion of your bill is probably only $20 or so, the rest is how sLIE steals money from you and spends it on whatever he wants too

  9. With Trumps tax plan giving people some of their money back, gay sLIE and fat boy Troy think they now have more free money to take from us

  10. SGT. SCHULTE KNOWS NOTHING!!

    (and has shit for brains)

  11. Cordish you suck. Leave us alone. Enough is enough.

  12. So they skunk pass something at the end of term, as favor to their sponsors, then obligate in perpetuity the City and taxpayers. What a load. Is everyone as tired of Troy as I am?

    ReplyDelete
  13. Trump would know how to renegotiate this, Troy just shrugs, not his money
