Artists Talk Kansas City Gentrification

A thematic interpretation of po'folk losing their property with the help of local government . . . Or maybe just a subtle reference so the creative class won't offend potential buyers. Take a look:

Kansas City's Building Boom, Two Artists Perspectives

Two concepts that speak of how re-urbanization in America looks today were shown in separate exhibitions across Kansas City, MO - Julie Schenkelberg: Solo Exhibition and New Paintings by Jason Needham. With very different processes, these artists critiqued a subtext as it relates to Kansas City's decade-long building boom.

I don’t think lame is 100% correct. They just have no talent.

The real talent leaves town.

Art is now a "state of mind". A post modern pile of bull crap that talentless hacks can immerse themselves in because they haven't the discipline to obtain skill.
Happy first Friday!

11:59 , I just don't comprehend the oohing and ahhing at a piece of string draped around a tin stool, esp at some 1st Fri gallery, I can appreciate classics like Rockwell or renaissance paintings from europe, even the old ancient figurines of early peoples, but this stuff in the xroads, push posh I say
