Animal Cruelty Circus Protest In Meth Town

A sign of compassion and rejection of local tradition in this enclave to the east of KCMO. Checkit:

Crowds gather outside Shrine Circus performance in Independence to protest animal living conditions

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. -- The Ararat Shrine Circus is designed to be entertaining for both kids and adults. "This is a 200-year tradition, and it's fun, and there's laughter," said Randy Berry, Ararat Shrine Circus ringmaster. "There's just nothing better than the energy of the circus."

14 years ago, a circus clown invited me over to help erect the pole in the big top. When I got there, it was just the 2 of us, and the belt buckle holding up his baggy pants read "The Big Top!"

The living conditions of the animals are better than that of many people in Kansas City. Maybe they should protest that. Probably not cool enough for them.

Those protestors suck. Go rescue tied up dogs east if Troost. Those animal rights activist risk their lives to help rescue abused dogs at the hands of dangerous criminals.
