Fear Kansas City Music Scene Desolation

A MUST READ blog post about local musicians and their ANTIPATHY AGAINST LOCAL MUSIC CRITICISM that's essential in building a better artistic community that's failed to materialize in Kansas City. Take a look:

Kansas City Conundrum

I've taken a beating in 2017. Locally based rock musicians, rappers and jazz artists outraged by my criticism have repeatedly lashed out at me. That's fair. If I dish it out, I have to be willing to endure the consequences.

The KC music scene sucks ass. As long as these tired ass fake musicians tree hug the shit they learned 40 years ago in grade school nothing is going to improve.

The 2000's has been awful for music. I would rather listen to 50's music than the awful shit of today. Greta Van Fleet is the best stuff I've heard in 20 years. There is a reason most bands playing in festivals, it's because they can't draw on their own.

There's only a few world class music schools in the country and none of those schools are located in Kansas City. To place the blame on the local music scene for not producing world class music is the mistake of the critic.

Fuck local music, as long as Bob Pollard and GBV are still cranking out the tunes I'm good to go.

There is terrific music out there today. Problem is when people get old they stop paying attention to what is happening with music. If you think todays music is shit just try listening to, "Purple People Eater", or," How Much is That Doggie In the Window" a few thousand times over the decades.
